Sooooo sorry I have taken so long to update! Been really busy!

The weekend rolled around quicker then how I would have liked it. I am not sure why I agreed to go to this party. Me and Audrey were getting ready together at my house, then Jacob was going to drive us to the party.

"You have to wear this!" Audrey said very excitingly. She then held up a black and white striped crop top with corduroy sleeves, a pair of jean shorts an my black high tops.

"I have not worn that in forever."

"That is exactly why you should wear it! Oh and straighten your hair!"

I just smiled in return to Audrey's suggestions, and within 30 minutes we were ready to go. I was just applying a layer of mascara when my mom called me.

"Niki! Jacob is here!"

"Alright mom!"

I then turned to Audrey who looked over the moon happy.

"Lets get this over with" I sighed

We both walked down stairs to see my mom having a conversation with Jacob. Probably getting all of the details for tonight. He then moved his gaze from my mother to meet mine.

"Hey" he greeted me with his classic smirk.

"Hi" I just nodded in return, the room suddenly got quiet.

"Well, we better get going" Audrey said breaking the silence.

"Right! you kids have fun tonight! make good choices!" my mom called out to us as we were walking out of the house,

"Ya mum! later!" I called back. we all walked out and got into Jacobs truck. Again, it was silent, but this time Jacob broke it.

"Soo, are you guys excited?"

"You sound like a annoying teacher trying to make conversation when his class goes on a field trip" I responded

Audrey sighed "come on Niki! don't be so down! of coarse we are excited!"

I just sighed as Audrey said this. The car was quiet again, so I turned on the radio. The sound of 'Jukebox the ghost' filled the car. I taped my fingers in my lap to the beat of the song, as we made our way down one of the back roads to get to the beach.

Trees, trees, trees. Oh look, another tree. I was so zoned out I could not hear Audrey or Jacob say my name. Until someone snapped there fingers in front of my face. My hand then shot up to catch the familiar persons hand. I then turned my head to look over at a smirking Jacob.

"Wow, you really do zone out a lot, don't ya?"

I then rolled my eyes and punched him lightly on the arm.

"Don't hit the driver!" He called out, with humor laced in his voice. a small smirk appeared on my face as I turned my gaze back to looking outside the trucks window.

Tree, rock, big rock, rock, store, another store, sand, sand, parking lot, sand...

"NIKI!" Audrey was now screaming my name.

"What?!?"

"We're here!"

I just rolled my eyes and began to un buckle my seat belt as Audrey began to speak again

"Will you at least try to have fun tonight?"

I just nodded an gave her a half smile. That seemed I be enough for he as she was already out of the car and heading up to the beach. I was just about to shut the door to the truck when Jacob came up beside me.

"Lets go have some fun"

"Fun?" I'm not one against parties, or even drinking. As I have been drunk before. Just being around tones of people, it just not really my thing. If you have not already noticed, I'm not much of a people person.

"Yea, you don't really get out much do you?"

"How did you know?!?" I gasped, and put my hand over my mouth as though I was shocked. Jacob thought this was amusing as he let out a small laugh.

"So you never do these kind of things?"

"Not really no, to many people, not my scene,"

"So you don't go anywhere with people?"

I sighed "it depends, give examples."

"Okay..." Jacob looked like he was trying to think of scenarios.

"A concert?"

"Love em, I go for the music and performance, not the other lunatic fans" Jacob smiled at my answer

"Okay, what about... a Dance?"

"Like a school dance?"

He nodded

"No. not my scene"

"Well, I'm just learning so much about you." he replied with a smirk.

I rolled my eyes "come on let's get this over with." I sighed for about the billionth time in one day.
