What I learned today

THE GREAT COMMISSION

Matthew 28:18-20

18 ​And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "ALL AUTHORITY has been
given to ME in heaven and on earth.
19​ GO therefore, and MAKE DISCIPLES of all nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20​ TEACHING them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I
AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, even to the end of age."

LESSONS/REFLECTIONS:

Narinig na po ba natin ang salitang great commission? Ito po iyong time na nabuhay na muli si Jesus, after Niyang mamatay sa krus. Nagmeeting ang mga natirang 11 disciples (kasi si Judas di ba nagtraydor at nagpatiwakal) with Jesus, at ito ang mga verses sa itaas ang kanyang bilin...

First point. ALL AUTHORITY has been given to Jesus.
Once again, kung isinasantabi natin ang kapangyarihan ng Panginoon Hesus, well sa verse 18, sabi ANG LAHAT ng AUTHORITY ay nasa Kanya Niya, leaving all else having NO AUTHORITY. And Jesus NOW sits at the right hand of the Father, sa kanan ng AMA (Ephesians 1:20, Romans 8:34).

Second point. GO therefore and MAKE DISCIPLES of all nations..
Ito po ang dahilan kung bakit marami sa mga Kristiyano, masipag mag-share ng Bible. Actually, we do not share not just the Bible, we share JESUS. And not to be disciples of a certain church or group or ng isang tao, but to make them DISCIPLES OF JESUS. At bakit naman po natin gagawin ang mag-share ng Salita ng Diyos?

Jesus in John 14:20 says, "At that day you will know that I AM in MY FATHER, and you IN ME, and I IN YOU."

Sumasaatin ang Panginoong Hesukristo, kaya naman ang mga WORKS niya, ang mga gawain Niya ay gagawin at ginagawa din natin.

And in Philippians 1:6, it says, "being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will complete it..."

And sabi din ni Jesus sa John 14:12, " MOST ASSUREDLY, I say to you, he who BELIEVES IN ME, the works that I do, he will do also..."

We DO NOT actually do things and serve God at our own will and strength, but it is BECAUSE of the WILL of God that is IN US. And it is through HIS strength NOT OUR STRENGTH (Philippians 4:13) kaya SUPPOSED TO BE, WALANG NAPAPAGOD sa paglilingkod.

KAPAG napapagod ka sa iyong paglilingkod sa Panginoon, ibig sabihin gamit-gamit mo ang sariling lakas, desisyon, at kalooban. Hindi mo kasama ang Panginoon sa mga lakad mo. Kaya, kailangan isangguni muna ang mga plano sa ministries at make sure kasa-kasama nating ang Panginoon sa pamamagitan ng Banal na Espiritu.

DO ONLY WHAT THE SPIRIT LEADS YOU TO DO. Dahil kapag sa sarili nating lakas at kalooban, PRIDE could come in, saying "achievement ko to, kundi dahil sa akin hindi lalago ang gawain na ito, etc. etc." At pwede ring hindi successful that could lead to DISAPPOINTMENTS and DISCOURAGEMENTS.

Third point. I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS even to the END OF AGE
Therefore, let us not FEAR. May mga bagay na ipinagagawa natin na pakiramdam natin hindi nating kaya, and we feel we are not CAPABLE OF. BUT I GUARANTEE YOU, kapag ang PANGINOON ang nagpagawa sa iyo ng isang bagay, kahit KAKAIBA pa ito, SIGURADO patok na patok po iyon. 101% SURE ang success.

And sabi ni JESUS, kasa-kasama natin siya EVEN sa katapusan ng mundo. Because JESUS is not just an ORDINARY PERSON, HUMAN BEING, HE is GOD. And part of the HOLY TRINITY. JESUS is ETERNAL, EVERLASTING.

Kaya TRUST HIM ALWAYS. DO THE WORK OF CHRIST. But REMEMBER, God's BURDEN is light and easy. THERE is REST in JESUS. Kahit naglilingkod, RELAX tayo suppose to be IF SIYA ang nag-gagabay at tumutulong sa ating palagi.

Hallelujah! Magandang new year's resolution ito. BE SPIRIT-FILLED, SPIRIT-LED and so do the WORKS of Jesus. Not at your own will, but by the WILL of God.
