TIRSDAG.
two weeks have passed and alex is finally settled in. her norwegian is getting better, she's doing great in her classes and she's got great friends. and most importantly chris isn't annoying her.
'hey alex!' says a familiar voice, alex turns around and there's jonas walking towards her.
'hei!' she says with a smile.
'so how was your weekend?' he asks.
'great! i finally had time to skype some of my friends from the states. what about you?' she says as they walk up the steps.
'it was alright, nothing special.' he shrugs.
'hey alex, i was wondering if you could help me with my history? eva told me you're like the best student in that class and i'm struggling to revise for my test this friday.'
'sure, i could help you! do you mind if i come to your place after my norwegian lesson after school?'
'that's sounds great, thanks!' says jonas with a smile then looking at his phone.
'isak keeps calling me and texting me. i better go and see what he wants. see you tonight alex.' he says with a smile before walking off.
alex walks up the steps and heads toward her locker. she takes out the books she needs and puts them into her school bag. she then locks her locker and sits on the edge of a window while reading a book. she looks out the window and sees noora, vilde, sana and chris and smiles. as much as she loves them, she still likes to have her alone time reading a book.
'someone hasn't been replying to my texts for the past two and a half weeks.' says the familiar voice. alex looks up from her book and there's chris sitting opposite her.
god i want to slap that smirk off his face, she thought.
'the right word you're looking for is ignoring your texts.' she says sighing.
'damn baby, why so pressed?' he asks.
'i wasn't "pressed", i was quite happy reading my book and don't call me baby.'
'look brown eyes, i get it you don't like me.'
'don't like is being polite, i can't stand you.'
'alright i get it, you hate me, loathe me whatever. what i'm trying to say is that can't you just get to know me a little better? can't we be friends?' he asks looking at her.
'friends? with a girl? do you even know how to be friends with a girl?' she says scoffing.
'if you're not going to be serious, i'll just leave.' says chris grabbing his bag from the floor.
'wait, come back.' she says sighing as he turns around and sits back down opposite her.
'i guess i could try and become friends with you. i have a long lunch break, you want to get some food or something?' she asks.
'we could take a walk down the akerselva river then get some food. sound good?' he asks looking at her.
'yeah but try any funny business with me and i'll purposely push you in the river.' she says looking straight at him.
