In the morning since it was summer Jessica had no school. Even though it was the end of summer it was still summer..... Her summer had gone by fast, but doesn't it always? Jessica got out of bed in her dark blue silk pajama outfit. She walked into the dining room and sat down at the marble table.
"Hello honey, did you sleep well? The mother said putting a plate full of eggs toast and bacon on the table in front of Jessica.
"Uggghhh is Justin in the mood to eat out here with us today?" Jessica asked sadly wishing her family wasn't so complicated!
"Fortunately he isn't!" The dad said not looking down from his news paper. Jessica shot him a look of hate but he didn't notice.
Jessica sighed thinking how different it would be without the stepdad and her two younger siblings one on the ways and one 6 years old! But she stopped herself because she though about how happy her mom was!
In the middle of breakfast Jessica got up with her breakfast. "I'm gonna finish this with Justin in his room." She said walking to the hallway.
"Good luck!" The stepdad said rudely and Jessica rolled her eyes as she was walking away. She knocked on the door. Justin opened it.
"Wha-? Oh it's you okay yah come on in!" Justin said. Jessica came in and sat down on the jet black mini couch thing he just put in his big room. "You don't like it here either do you, Jess?" He said putting his electric guitar back in its case.
"Not really! But I am gonna go, I have some boxes to bring to the attic..." Jessica said picking up her half full plate of eggs and bacon and bringing it into the kitchen.
She got the boxes and headed up the attic stairs. Once Jessica got up there she put the heavy box down. Almost tripping over an open floor board in the process. "Ouch! That should be fixed!" She said taking a closer look at it. "Oh! What's that? It's a journal/book!" Jessica said pulling the book out of the floor board.
Jessica flipped through the pages, they were all dated to previous weeks until, YESTURDAY! "That's impossible nobody could have gotten in our house without being seen! We'll I will leave it here and see if it happens again!" Jessica said walking down the cellar steps.
All that day she was thinking about that book she found in the attic and she was debating about telling her family or not. Jessica chose not to tell her family. Justin painted her room neon green that day!
Once he finished he asked, "What do you think?" He asked smiling. She nodded.
"Perfect! I love it!" She said jumping up and down like a kangaroo. She hugged him.
"Okay that's enough of the bear hug I only painted your room!" Justin said snickering. Jessica flicked him on the head. They both laughed.
"Thanks okay now get out of my room, I have some important research to do!" Jessica said pushing him to the door. He gave her a confused look.
Jessica headed to bed. With no success of sleeping, all she thought of was who the journals writer is and why it is in there and HOW THEY GOT INTO HER HOUSE WHEN SHE WAS IN IT! But then after 5 hours of no sleeping and just thinking, she fell asleep.....
