Chapter XI: Gone

"Ace why did you save me?" Courtney asked. "Because I care about you. Now let's go before the sun sets." Ace said. Courtney kinda gave a side smile as Ace picked her up and decided to carry her all the way. "Ace you don't need to carry me. " Courtney said. "No I do because Chris won't." Ace said. "Ya I would drop you!" Chris said. They all walked until the reached a small clearing in the woods out side of Umbra. "We can rest here for the night." Ace said. "Oh thank god" Chris said while falling onto the ground and then was out. "I'll be up in a tree!" Bandit said while climbing into a tree. "Wait for me Bandit!" Sara yelled. "I'll stay on watch. Courtney please try to get some sleep." Ace said. "Owe!" Courtney cried. "Courtney are you okay?" ace asked. "Something hit my arm and it hurt." she replied. There was a small dot as if someone had given her a shot. "Courtney try starting a fire." ace said. "Okay" she pointed at the fire and nothing happened. "My my power it's gone!" Courtney cried. "Mikey must have stolen it, that's probably what the dot is for." ace said. "Now I'm useless." she moaned. "Your not useless we will get your power back and defeat Mikey. I promise." ace said with a smile as he walked away.

It was the next day and everyone was so tired from all that had happened the day before. Courtney injured, Sara recovering, Chris and Bandit worn out, and Ace we'll it's Ace. "BOOM!" A noise off in the distance sounded and shook the ground. Sara and Bandit fell out of the tree. "Owe!" Sara yelled. "Sara oh my god are you okay?w Chris asked like a worried mother. "Yes Chris I'm fine." Sara said. "Whatever that was we probably need to leave. Sara here I'll help you walk. Ace will you get Courtney?" Chris said. "Yes." ace replied. "Ace you know everyone already know you like her." Bandit said. "What I we'll um uh fine whatever." Ace said. "Hehe good thing she's still sleep. Poor thing she's been through everything." bandit said. "Let's just go!" ace said. They had been traveling for awhile when up head they saw a gate to Stampdown. They went in and saw that most of it had been destroyed with signs saying "All Hale Mikey". There was no one in sight, all was abandoned. All of a sudden the group was surrounded by fog. Dense fog too. "This can't be good, maybe we should go back!" Chris said. "We can't we need to find shelter." Ace said. "Owe!" Sara yelled as was all of a sudden passed out of the ground. "Owe! bandit cried. She was also passed out on the ground. "Oh no we are next! No I don't wanna be passed out I..." Chris was knocked out to. But by what Ace couldn't see. "Put that girl down and walk away or you all dye." A voice from the fog said. "Show yourself!" Ace yelled back. The person got Ace by puppetry. He made Ace drop Courtney and have Ace back up. "This isn't cool man leave her alone!" Ace said. "Oh does the boy love the girl, how cute." And Mikey stepped out from the fog. "Now I have what I want, goodbye Ace." Mikey said, and He and Courtney were gone along with the fog. "No!" Ace yelled.
