A/N: I'm not normally one for author's notes (any updates I post on my user :) ) but decided to do a one off one for this part!

Five hundred reads in less than two weeks is absolutely insane, thank you to everybody reading and voting, it means a lot :)

My sister and I (hiddlesbatchers ) were super excited to see that Joel was taking part in the show this year after we discovered him on this Sky music related game show called Bring The Noise (hosted by Ricky Wilson, hiddlesbatchers FAVOURITE PERSON EVERR). If you haven't watched the show, it's bloody fantastic!

hiddlesbatchers and I are also going to see Joel LIVE AND I AM SO EXCITED!

Anyway, I'm glad to see that people are enjoying this FanFiction, and if you like the part, then please remember to recommend, comment and vote :)

Thanks again,

~Sam xx

I look in the mirror. Oh my goodness. The state of my hair is revolting, my skin pale and grubby, and the stench? The stench is absolutely horrific.

I enclose myself in the bathroom. Peering into the blissfully clean shower, I strip off quickly and jump in, the muddy water pooling at my feet as I pour a whole bottle of shampoo into my greasy hair, lathering it up so much so that the soap smothers my entire body, and all the while I can't help but think how unreal the jungle feels now. The second you're out, it feels like you were never there, like when you come back from holiday and walk into your bedroom for the first time in a week, you feel like you've never been away.

Walking down the bridge and having no one to greet me was mortifying, luckily the cameras stayed off me slightly. Slightly.

The hot water feels amazing, I can't even describe it, like giving up chocolate for lent and then after lent eating chocolate again and it tasting like pure gold, that's how it feels, biting into the crisp bitter chocolate after weeks without it.

I do feel my time in the jungle was cut short, but I was never expecting to last as long as I did, and in some ways, I am relieved to be out.

I exit the shower, a white bath towel wrapped around me, another cradling my hair. I flop down onto the sofa and immediately switch on the TV. Friends is on, God I've missed Friends.

Just as I'm getting to the good part were Monica tries to propose to Chandler but breaks down so Chandler takes over, there's a knock at the door.

As I open the door I don't even care that I'm wearing a bath towel.

"Calla!"

"Carol!"

We embrace briefly before I allow her to enter my hotel room.

"I can't believe you're out so soon!" Carol gushes, plonking herself on the sofa. "How do you feel?"

"Relieved." I state, reaching over for my mug of tea. The first thing I asked for when I was released from the jungle was a cup of tea. I've had six in the past three hours, I even had one in the shower. "But also sad. I miss it."

Carol nudges my shoulder, "Missing someone more like." She winks. "You and Joel brought a tear to my eye." Carol chuckles.

I can't even bring myself to watch the show. I'd miss them too much. I'd miss him too much.

A tiny tiny part of my hopes Joel will join me soon, but then the less self-centred part of me wants him to go all the way and bring back the crown.

I pace around my hotel room, the same one I began in, sitting on the same sofa I sat on whilst watching the original ten campmates before Martin and I intruded, in the same bed I slept in. Though it feels alien.

What did I do before the jungle?

Eventually I cave in, tumbling into the double bed like a drunk on a Saturday night, snuggling into the duvet and falling asleep.
