This will be the last part of this book, but I am planning on writing a sequel because Joel and Calla's journey is not over just yet! Anyway, I really hope you've all enjoyed this book as much as I've enjoyed writing it!

Sam xx

He took me to see a movie, sounds boring but actually we had the best time. It was an animated film so the theatre was full of rowdy children, but we were able to take the piss out of it the entire way through. A brilliant first date.

So far things are moving pretty slowly, and I'm glad of it. When things move fast I tend to get panicky, but Joel is very patient and doesn't seem to mind that is prefer things to go at a slower pace.

Today I have an audition for Sherlock. I'm auditioning for the part of Eurus Holmes (Sherlock's estranged sister) who features in the last episode of the series. It's a long shot and I know that, but there's nothing wrong with trying.

Joel is waiting in his car, he said he'd drop me off at the BBC studio. I pat myself down in the mirror. I'm wearing black leggings and a white shirt (easy to move around) and I've done my hair in a top knot to keep it out of my eyes.

Joel honks the horn.

I grab my keys and leave the flat, skipping down the stairs nervously.

When I'm out of the building, the cold air calms me down and I feel slightly less wobbly.

As I sit down beside him, Joel rubs my arm, "It'll be fine, you know that right?"

I nod and smile rather unconvincingly and watch the world flash past us as Joel drives along the motorway.

There'll be tons of other actresses auditioning, all of whom will be far more experienced than me. I'm shocked they even offered me a slot. At first, I wasn't going to take it but then I realised I'd be an idiot not to try. I don't actually have an agent so I have to find jobs on my own and organise my own auditions which is pretty tricky and a complex process to be honest.

I yawn. I slept pretty badly last night due to nerves.

Joel pulls up beside the BBC studio after a long silent drive. "Do you want me to come in with you?" He whisper, tucking a small chunk of hair behind my right ear.

I'm too nervous to even blush. I shake my head. "Can you meet me afterwards though? Should be finished at eleven."

"I'll see you inside by reception." He leans over to kiss me gently and then I'm off.

:-:-:-:

I sit in between two other actresses, neither of whom even register me. One I think I recognise from a comedy on ITV and the other may have starred in a detective show on Channel 4. Either way, we don't talk at all.

I wait for my name to be called, the monologue firm in my head, my lines learnt. I don't think I've ever been this nervous about an audition, possibly because I really want this role. It would be great for me.

My hands are shaking so I bunch them into fists. The other actresses seem totally calm and easygoing whereas I'm a nervous wreck. I'm going pretty early on though which I prefer.

"Calla Thomas?"

I feel like a little girl waiting to go in for her dentist appointment, and that little girl is seriously worried about the prospect of needles going anywhere near her mouth.
