Headmaster McGonagal returned to Hogwarts to make sure everything is in order before students and staff arrive. If the house elves have done their job then this shouldn't be a problem. She walked through classrooms looking for any mishaps.
"Oaf." A voice said.
McGonagal turned around but no one was their. She kept walking and found a small girl on the floor.
"Hello? Who are you?" McGonagal asked.
The girl looked up to see a familiar face.
"I'm Savannah, you're Profess-Headmaster McGonagal?" The girl 'Savannah' stated.
"Yes, how did you get here Savannah?" McGonagal questioned getting impatient.
"Well, I uh.... I apperated." Savannah stuttered.
McGonagal was bewildered. A young child, apperated? To Hogwarts? An adult could hardly achieve that!
"Really, why?" McGonagal hesitated.
The girl looked a bit upset, not to mention in pain. She had cuts and scars over every limb. Most of those cuts had hardened blood.
"To escape." She stated.
The girl looked like she was about to cry. McGonagal wasn't the greatest with crying children, but she shared sympathy for Savannah.
"My dad is, abusive to me and m-my mum. This time though, he went so far to- to" Savannah burst out crying in the middle of her sentence.
McGonagal bent down and hugged the girl. Savannah cried for about two minutes before being able to talk.
"M-my father k-k-killed my m-m-m-m-mum!" Savannah whispered trying not to cry again.
Savannah took a deep breath and went on.
"He was scaring me, getting suspiciously closer to me. I thought he was going to kill me. So I apperated to the safest place I could think of, here." Savannah finished.
McGonagal was shell shocked, to afraid to ask this poor girl anymore questions or she would break. Savannah just wanted love or an escape of course!
"Savannah?" McGonagal spoke up.
Savannah lifted her head slowly from the floor.
"Would you like to be here at Hogwarts?" McGonagal asked smiling softly.
Savannah face looked like it was Christmas. Her face actually glowed with joyous temptations.
"Yes!" Savannah said very loudly.
"Thought so. We'll be off to be your supplies tomorrow. You'll be sleeping in the Gryffindor dormitories." McGonagal declared.
Savannah nodded excited. She walked to the portrait grinning. The Fat Lady looked at Savannah oddly.
"What are you doing here?" The Fat Lady asked annoyed.
"Going inside, Godly Candy." Savannah said happily.
With no comment, (except for a hmph) The Fat Lady let Savannah in. She went into the girls dormitory and chose the bed farthest away from the door. Still smiling, she fell asleep once her head hit the pillow.
Savannah was finally home.
