Savannah's POV
We arrived at Hogwarts! Albus and I went onto a boat with one other stranger. James was taking the carriages because he's older than us so I didn't know anyone.
"Hi." I said awkwardly staring at the water.
"Hullo." The boy replied quietly.
It was clear know one wanted to talk so I zipped my mouth for the time being.
"Duck you'r head down!" Thundered Hagrid.
Some people *cough* Albus *cough* didn't listen and fell into the water.
Those unlucky ones had to swim the rest of the way. Just kidding, I jumped in to keep Albus company. The other kid tried helping us back on but it didn't work.
"Albus, you take directions so well." I complemented.
"You swim gracefully, Savannah." He shot back.
"Oh? At least I don't have a bump on my forehead!"
"Hey! At least I have brains."
"Really? You're head is has thick as a rock!" I yelled.
"I don't have-" Albus stopped in the middle of his sentence as a teacher walked out of Hogwarts to greet everyone.
I smirked and stood with the crowd. He stuck his tongue at me and did the same. I was the only one you knew the Deputy Mistress because I was at Hogwarts earlier than them. Her name was...
"Hello students, welcome to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. I am Deputy Mistress Goldwretch (A/N: just go with it please) . You are about to be sorted into your houses. Your houses are like your families, there are rules. Follow the rules you will be rewarded, break the rules and you will loose points. Come along." Professor Goldwretch interrupted.
She is kind of rude but nice ish too. I hope I'm in the same house as Albus. As I told him, he is my only friend. So yeah, this will be fun.
We walked into the great hall with thousands of eyes staring at us. I shifted uncomfortably. I turned to Albus who seemed of having the same train of thought. The sorting hat sang his interesting song about sorting and the houses and stuff.
I wasn't really paying attention to names being called until
"Fin, Savannah."
I tensed and slowly walked to the hat. I sat on the three legged stool. Albus gave me a reassuring simile.
Hello Savannah.
Hi.
Let's take a look into your thoughts.
No thank you.
Nice brain, loyal, pretty cunning as well.
Don't say anything out loud.
Stubborn too. I know....
"SLYTHERIN!" He yelled.
I feel beads of sweat form on my forehead. I get off the stool and ignore the cheering from my new table. McGonagall looks shocked as well. I'm not excited for what's coming next.
*time skipppe*
Albus's name is called too. They have a long conversation I can't hear. Albus looks worried before the sorting hat called the same thing it told me.
"SLYTHERIN!"
