Plue

(Natsu's POV)
Lucy leaned over to me and made sure the coast is clear. Then she grabbed my hand and pulled me to the games. "What about Mr. Lion?" I asked as we ran. Not that I minded ditching the perv.
"If we wait for him, it'll be time to go home before we get play anything." She giggled. Oh what a sweet giggle. "Oh what an adorable puppy! She squealed. I looked at what she was talking about. It was a game booth where the prizes were either cats or dogs. "May I please hold him?" She smiled warmly at the women running the booth, and they nodded their heads. She picked him up and snuggled him into her arms. "Look they're from the animal shelter!" She pointed at a sign."They're running out of room in their shelter that's why their adopting them out this way." She smiled as she snuggled into a small white French Bulldog puppy. He licked her face, I could tell she really wanted him. I looked up and eyed the game. It didn't look too hard, you had to pop 10 balloons with 12 darts. I looked at Lucy, beaming as she held the puppy.
"I'll play, and if I win I want this puppy." I smiled. Lucy's head snapped up and her smile got even brighter as she snuggled the puppy tighter. I chuckled at her cuteness.
"Okay sir, it's $20 to play." The woman said also watching Lucy. I happily handed her the money and she handed me the darts. "The trick is to aim for the red balloons." She whispered with a smile and a wink. I nodded and began to pop the red balloons.
I had 1 more dart and had popped 9 balloons. I put all my concentration into this one dart and flung it at the balloons. I watched as it stabbed a red balloon but didn't pop it. My jaw dropped as did the women behind the booth. Then the women who gave me the tip pulled the dart out of the balloon and it began to slowly hiss out air. "There it's popped she giggled. He's all yours." She said with a smile. "Sir if you could just fill out these papers the adoption will be final, then come to the shelter at your earliest convenience and we'll give you his file. Here's our card." I quickly began to fill out the paperwork.
"Natsu you won! What are you gonna name your new little friend?" Lucy asked with excitement. I finished the paperwork and handed the official adoption paper to her.
"Not mine Luce, yours." I answered with a smile. I leaned down to her ear and whispered. "Happy Birthday." She looked at me in shock but then lunged and pulled me into another tight hug.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" She giggled. I felt my face heat up more and more the longer she held onto me. Then she broke the hug and smiled up at me.
"So what are you gonna name him Luce?" I asked as I pet him behind the ears.
"I think I'll call him Plue." She replied with a smile.
"Sounds good to me." I smiled. Then we walked around for about 45 minutes talking and playing other games. Then we went into a souvenir shop and bought a small dark red dog collar, and a matching backpack. Afterwards we walked outside and sat on a nearby bench.
"Red is my favorite color, I hope you don't mind." I said as I buckled the collar onto Plue while Lucy held him. He licked my hands and then my face as I put it on him. When I finished I sat back and stretched my arm behind Lucy, resting it on the back of the bench.
"Plue your so handsome, that collar suits you perfectly." Lucy beamed.
"Oh what an adorable puppy Lu!" I heard a familiar voice giggle.
"Lev! Thank you! Natsu won him." She replied with another smile.
"So what'd you name him Flame Brain?" Gray asked as he reached forward to pet him. Plue growled and bit Grays hand, I couldn't stop myself from laughing. "I'm sorry about that Gray." Lucy apologized. I quickly pet him on head and whispered 'good boy'.
"Actually he's Luce's and she named him Plue." I replied, still laughing.
"He's beautiful Lucy, that was very kind of you to win him for her Natsu." Erza smiled as she now scratched him behind the ear.
"Does Lucy mind if Juvia holds him?" Juvia asked.
"Of course not, I need to make a phone call anyways, I'll be right back." She smiled and pulled out her phone then walked off.
"Seriously? You got her a puppy ya flame freak." Gray growled.
"Yeah you got a problem with that Ice Princess?" I growled back.
"He's so adorable Natsu! Where on earth did you guys get him?" Levy asked.
"He was at an animal shelter booth, they left about 20 minutes ago though." I answered.
"Awe that's too bad." She smiled a sad smile.
"Okay, Virgo is going to pick Plue up and take him home for me. I just have to call her an hour before we leave so she has time to come get him." Lucy said as Juvia handed Plue back to her.
"Oh, my Beautiful Star, what a cute little puppy you have there." Loke smiled as he reached out to pet Plue. He immediately started to growl as he did with Gray and bit his hand also.
"Oh, I'm so sorry Loke." Lucy said apologetically. Man this has got to be the best dog ever. Score 1 for Natsu.
Then Jellal walked up and handed Erza a piece of cake. "Oh where did you come from." He smiled as he reached for Plue.
"I wouldn't do that man." Gray warned.
Jellal scooped Plue into his arms while Gajeel pet him. Gray and Loke's jaws dropped.
