We put the books in my saddle bags, and then walked down the street to a quaint restaurant. The aroma pulled you right in. Luce looked at all the food on the menu with sparkles in her eyes. She must be extra hungry I laughed to myself. We ordered our food and sat down while we waited for it to reach our table. Suddenly I wanted to ask her about the book. It would be best for me to explain everything myself rather than her learn it from someone else. But, how much does she remember exactly? Quickly I became very nervous. What if I tell her and she doesn't accept the reason? What if it's not enough of a reason? She was locked away from the world for so long, sad and alone. What if she doesn't want to be with me because of my family and what I did?  Maybe I can ask her to my girlfriend first and then explain everything else a little later. I still have time, no one we don't trust knows about us yet. But if they find out and tell her before I do, she would be so heart broken. Gah! This is so difficult. "Are you okay?" I was forced abruptly from my thoughts and focused on the source of the voice. "Oh, yes, sorry I'm just really hungry and the smell in here is so intoxicating; I was imaging myself eating already." I laughed. She looked at me for a second but giggled too. "Well imagine no longer" she pointed shyly towards a waitress carrying a large round tray in our direction.  We quickly ate our food while carrying on light conversation. Afterwards we walked around the town visiting the different small shops, buying small odds and ends that caught Lucy's eye. I realized it was getting late, the sun would set soon. I grabbed her hand and squeezed it tightly. "Come on Luce there's one more place I want to take you."  I guided her back to my bike loaded our purchases and helped her slide on before hopping on myself. The ride was a quick 15 minutes out of the small town and the countryside. We quickly approached a hill with a large tree and a single old wooden swing. She reached out and held my hand interlacing our fingers, I looked down to see her smiling with tinted cheeks. We walked to the top of the hill and she gasped. The old tree overlooked a hidden lake. It was beautiful, surrounded by a thriving field of flowers. She pulled me excitedly to the water and dipped her fingers in immediately. I squatted down next to her dipping my fingers in as well. "This place is so beautiful!" She fell back on her butt and sighed happily. It was comfortably quiet for a few minutes, but I could feel pressure building between us. I looked over to see Lucy's face even redder. Is she cold? I scooched closer to her and wrapped my arms tightly around her. "Mr.Dragneel." Her voice was shaky and nervous. I gave her a squeeze and leaned down to her ear and breathed out warmly. "Luce, we're still alone, call me Natsu." She nodded her head once and continued. "Natsu, I know that I'm your student and that we've only known each other for like a week, and you're probably going to think this sounds absolutely ridiculous and childish." Her body temperature began to rapidly rise as she spoke so I held her against me tighter as she went on. "I'm young and there's a lot that I might not know, but I know what I feel. I feel warm, and safe when I'm with you. I feel happier than I've felt before and as weird as it sounds, I feel nostalgic. I want to be wrapped in your arms like this forever. I-" she paused turning in my lap to face me. "I love you" her voice was small and she watched every movement on my face for a reaction. I leaned forward quickly and pulled her into a deep kiss pouring all my feelings into her. I have to tell her, no more waiting. "I love you too."
