Chapter 21. Unveiling The Past

"Mama, where are you going?" Caedy asked while gently pulling my skirt.

I turned around and looked down at my mini-me.

"Gorgeous, I'll just get myself a book. Wait for me here, ituloy mo lang yang pagko-color mo."

"Okay but be quick."

Tumango ako at tuluyan na akong binitiwan nito. Pagkatapos ay muli nang dumapa sa carpeted na sahig at bumalik sa ginagawa.

Nagkalat sa sahig ng kwarto namin ni Glaiza ang mga coloring books na karamihan ay binili pa ng huli sa London.

Caedy loves to play with colors and she's into coloring books lately. And Glaiza being the ever supportive Mimi bought almost all the coloring books in Harrods to her daughter's fascination. Hindi man ako sang-ayon sa ginagawang pagpapalayaw nito sa kambal ay madalas na pinagbibigyan ko na lang. I know she just wanted to make up for the lost times. Materyal man o hindi ang mahalaga ay bumabawi sya sa kambal.

Lumabas ako ng kwarto at nagtungo sa library/study room na paminsan ay nagiging opisina na din ni Glaiza kapag nasa villa.

I glance at my wrist watch and found out it's past six already. Hindi ko na namalayan ang oras sa dami ng ginawa namin ni Caedy.

After Glaiza and Caiden left, Caedy and I went downstairs and tried to bake some cupcakes. So far, successful naman. Not bad for a first timer plus Caedy was a big help. Then after that we watched a couple of Disney movies and now were settled in doing some coloring. Narealized kong nakakapagod din palang magcolor, mas nakakapagod pa kesa magpaint.

Oh, I wish I brought my stuffs here so I could paint anytime I want.

Matagal tagal na din simula nung huli akong nagpaint. Nakakamiss din.

Naisip kong magbasa na lang habang hinihintay ang pag-uwi nila Glaiza. I'm not so much of a reader unlike my wife but I can take a few chaps especially when I'm bored and if it's really a good book. At alam kong madaming magandang libro si Glaiza sa library.

My nerd-of-a wife collected it.

Napailing ako sa naisip. Maybe Glaiza doesn't look like your ordinary nerd with braces and big glasses but she's definitely look like one on the inside. Mas pipiliin pa nitong manatili sa bahay at magbasa ng makakapal nitong libro kaysa magstroll sa mall o magbar hopping kasama ng mga kaibigan nito, yun ay ayon sa mga kwento ni Lolo Gerardo.

Well, I certainly believe him 'cause I never imagine Glaiza making friends with those kikay girls doing girly stuffs.

Now I wonder what she and Caiden did with their own bonding time.

I just wish everything turned out well. I hope Caiden will finally accept her wholeheartedly.

I hope and I pray.

My eyes roamed around when I entered the huge library.

Ang kabuuan ng kwarto ay napapalibutan ng malalaki at antigong estante na puno ng iba't ibang klase ng libro.

This is not the first time that I entered this room, Glaiza and I even made love here a couple of times before but until now I'm still in awe everytime I looked at my wife's collection of books. If I have to sum it all, it's not an exaggeration to say that it's worth millions already.

Nang lumakad ako ay halos lumubog ang paa ko sa carpeted na sahig.

Wall to wall carpet ang buong library, katulad din ng kwarto namin sa itaas at ng iba pang kwarto sa buong villa.
