"So, you're telling me that you actually went there but she refused to see you? Why, that's impossible?" Sanya blurted out, bakas ang pagtataka sa boses nito.

I can't help but tell her what happened last night, about me and Glaiza's almost encountered and the latters refusal to see me.

"Well, that's what happened. I guess it's just not really meant to be." I said nonchalantly. As much as possible I only wanted to show my unaffected side.

"Oh come on, don't give me that crap. I'm too old for that. Aren't we too old for that not meant to be thing? I'm sure she had her reasons."

"Well, whatever it is I'm not interested to know anymore. I already done my part so I guess it's over."

"How about your kids?"

"What about 'em?"

Tell me, how am I supposed to do that?" I asked, frowning.

"Ang bilis mo namang sumuko. Patience is a virtue my friend. Try and try until you succeed."

"You want me to go there and tried to talk to her again? No way! Pa'no kung tumanggi ulit sya?"

"Paano kung hindi?" Naghahamon ang boses nito sa kabilang linya.

"Believe me, I know Glaiza. Kapag sinabi nyang ayaw nya, ayaw nya. Walang makakapilit sa kanya."

"Talaga? Napilit nga sya ng Lolo nyang magpakasal kayo dati diba?" Sanya said teasingly.

"Hey, I just told you that. Don't used my word against me ... that's unfair."

I heard Sanya chuckled.

"I'm just trying to put some sense in your mind. And let me tell you something about your meant-to-be thingy or destiny or whatever you wanna call it. We are the one who shape and mold our own destiny. Minsan may mga bagay na may mas malalim na rason, and if we just tried to look beyond the surface we'll see what really happened in between. You see, Rhian, destiny is the bridge you build with the one you love. Do I make any sense to you?"

"I-I guess so?..."

"Yeah, I know I sound really weird."

"You bet you are."

Sometimes, I wonder if I could take Sanya seriously or not.

"Hey, Mars hold on, there's a call waiting. I need to take it, might be important." I said.

"Oh, okay. Later. Bye."

"Bye."

It's my Mom's number and I couldn't help but felt nervous right away. Hindi tumatawag si Mommy kapag nasa gallery ako unless it's really important.

"Mom?

I grab my bag and hurriedly went out of my office.
