Liam's POV
Today I was going to be with Niall as we were meeting Louis and Harry for lunch because apparently Louis has some news to tell. "This must be important if Louis is wanting us to meet him but hey if he's buying lunch then I'm satisfied" Niall said as we were walking down the road towards the bakery. I rolled my eyes at him as the bakery came into view along with Louis standing outside. We greeted each other and walked inside to see Harry behind the counter.
"Hey lads!" Harry said before hoping the counter and walking over to us. "What's this all about?" he asked as we walked over to a booth.
We all turned to Louis "Ok, so the other day you would not believe who was in my mother's shop" Louis stated. I gave him a look to continue and he sighed. "Her majesty and her daughter" that made our eyes widen in surprise.
"What did they want?" Niall asked him as we were all curious. "Apparently to buy dresses for the princess birthday ball but that's not the point, she actually talked to me like a real person and not anyone lower than her" Louis explained and we all looked at him.
Before anyone could answer, there was a loud bell and we saw a man on a horse and a black limo following behind. "Let's go check this out" Niall said being the first one out the door. We followed his lead as we saw the people in the town gathering around the giant fountain in the center where the man on the horse was standing. Niall was standing in the front when we found him and Zayn was standing next to him.
"Attention all the great people of this great town, I hereby announce that her highness, Princess Elizabeth Avani Marcia Gardena is becoming of age and as tradition to the royal family, the annual birthday ball is accounted in the celebration of her highness" the man announced and I saw Harry roll his eyes.
"Great, another ball that no one here is invited to, what's the point?" he said and I agreed.
This happens all of the time, when the royal family is having an occasion they always announce it to the people but never invites them to attend. Very selfish and conceded much?
"It is in her highness request that the following come forth when called" the man said before the limo car door was opened revealing a girl with curly Aurburn colored hair with a tiara on top wearing a light green top and white pants along with green flats. I could not see her eyes because of the sunglasses that covered them but there was something vaguely familiar about her to me.
"I think that's the princess" Niall whispered and I looked at him with a 'You don't say' look on my face before rolling my eyes and turning back towards the man and the girl.
"Would a member of the Horan family come forth?" the man asked and we all looked at Niall who looked shocked as he walked over. The princess handed him an envelope and whispered something to him before giving him a smile. Niall nodded and came over to us smiling.
"Next up will be the Styles family!" Harry went up next and came back with a bigger grin on his face than Niall. The names went on and on and soon enough every name was called except well mine. It made me a bit jealous that everyone else was getting invited except me.
"Let's head on back to the bakery" Harry suggested and we all turned away as the crowd started to clear out.
"Liam?" I heard a voice say and I turned around to see the princess standing there behind me. I took a bow in front of her to show her respect as what you're supposed to do so. "Princess" I whispered and I heard her chuckle. "Have you forgotten me already Liam?" I looked up at her confused. "I'm not sure what you mean" I answered her. In the moment she had slowly removed her sunglasses and I looked at her wide eyed.
