Liam's POV
I felt a cold surface beneath me as I started to wake up. My vision was a bit hazy at first but after a second it cleared and I saw that I was in a dark room with one small window shining some light in here. What happened? I asked myself but then I remembered perfectly clear.
"I need to speak with Liam alone" David said and my eyes widened. Why would he want to talk to me?
"Why may I ask?" Beth asked him narrowing her eyes at him.
"I just need to speak with him please" his voice sounded annoyed. I slowly got up and Beth grabbed my arm.
"You don't have to go, Liam" she told me. "I'll be right back, I promise" I kissed her cheek and headed out the door with David. After that is a blur. I tried to move my hands to my face but something was holding them back. The sound of chains brought annoyance to me as I moved them again. Great. I sighed and leaned back up against the wall like I have a choice. My mind began to wonder and Beth came to mind. Oh gosh Beth. We're supposed to be getting married today! I hope she doesn't think I stood her up. I gotta get out of here! I desperately tried to get the chains to break off but it was no use. The sound of footsteps and a door opening made me look up to see a man standing there. "You won't be getting away that easily boy" he said turning on a small lamp beside me. "We have special plans made just for you" I saw the smirk on his face as he walked closer to me.
"Why am I here?" I asked hoping to get some information from him on where we might be going. "Isn't it obvious? The king wanted you as far away as possible to keep you from marrying that little brat of his" that made my blood boil. "Her name is Beth and she is the Queen" I spat at him only making him laugh. "She won't be for very much longer if she can't marry before the standard deadline approaches" the man said and my eyes widen. "What do you mean before the deadline?" I asked and he scoffed. "Gosh don't you know anything? But then again you're just some peasant she picked up off the streets" this guy was really wanting for me to punch him square in his jaw. "Anyway it was said that if the Queen does not marry before the deadline, she will be restricted of her ruling power and it goes back to its former holders" he explained. Beth couldn't have known this. She's being put into danger. "Then I'm sure once the king is back in power he'll have her killed immediately in some freak accident" he laughed before walking out and slamming the door shut and locking it. DAMNIT!!
Beth's POV
It's been two days and still nothing of Liam. My uncle is still being tortured for answers but still nothing has left his mouth no matter what we do. "Sir you can't go in there!" I heard one of the guards yell before the doors in front of me burst open to see a man with a hooded coat over the his body. The guards quickly grabbed him. "What is the meaning of this nonsense?" I asked the man. "Your majesty I have news regarding your missing person" the man spoke. My eyes had widen and I waived the guards off of him. "Speak if you may" I told him taking a seat on my throne."I saw a boat leaving the docks two days ago heading towards the East. I overheard them saying that they were heading to the darkest parts of our country that no one dares to go looking for them" the man explained. I could not believe my ears. "Did you happen to see my fiancé with them?" I asked getting as much information. The man nodded. "I saw them carry him onto the ship as I boarded on with them in the shadows. Their captain said of that they were sent by your uncle to keep him away and kill him" I choked on holding back my tears. "Guards ready the ships and tell Sir Everett that this man knows where to find Liam and follow his instructions" I ordered and the guards nodded scurrying out the door leaving me with the man. "I promise to do everything I can to bring him back to you your majesty" the man spoke and I nodded sending him off.
I had the servants call in Liam's family who had been staying with me until Liam's return. Once they came into view I had given the news that was brought to me. "We've got him and my uncle will pay for this I assure you" I told them as they hugged each other crying of the good news. "Send for Sir Harrison and tell him to bring up my uncle" I ordered one of the servants who nodded and rushed away. "We're gonna get him back soon" Karen told me hugging my shoulders. Yes we will.
David was brought up to the thrown room wrapped in chains. "Given up yet?" David said smirking at me. "Actually, we found out today where you've been keeping Liam..in the darkest parts of Renovia that no one dares to go" his smirk fell into a frown. "That's right, and because of such information given to us, I can now tell you of your charges" I said smirking at him as my mother walked into the room. "Ah our other guest of honor as arrived" I said nodding my head at the guards. They quickly went over and grabbed her. "Let go of me, I'm a lady!" she yelled before glaring at me. "Yes, but a lady of crime, along here with your husband" I spoke to her. "You are both charged with kidnapping, assault and my personal favorite, failure to commute with first and secondary authority" they both glared at me while I smiled. "Take them away and be sure to have them locked up until further notice" the guards nodded dragging the two away as the argued over whose fault it was that they got caught. I looked up at the ceiling and smiled.Thank you father, now bring him home
