Beth's POV

It's finally the day of my coronation and everything was hectic. Servants are rushing around getting things together, the people from the town were putting up decorations and celebrating so I'm told by Liam. He is with his family helping around and then before the guests show up he's going to come back and get himself ready. Me on the other hand was in my room letting Grace fix my hair. Not my idea, it was my mother. Speaking of my mother, her and David have been trying to persuade me not to marry Liam and every time I've denied them. After today, they no longer have that status control over me.

"Alrighty there, you're all done here" Grace said turning me towards the mirror. she had my hair tied up into a braided bun to the side decorated with a flower clip in the middle.

"How do you like it?" she asked and I nodded with a smile on my face.

"Its beautiful, Grace, thank you" I told her before giving her a hug.

"Well, I'm glad you do" she then pulled away and began packing up her things as I continued to look at myself in the mirror.

"Well I'm just gonna go finish packing up my things and get out of here" that caught my attention and I turned to look at her. "What do you mean?" I asked her confused. Grace was leaving?

"Well, since your mother and David aren't going to be King and Queen anymore, your mother thought it would be best if I left with them and go find another job" she explained closing her bag. Grace walked over to me giving me another hug which I returned.

"Oh, your father would've loved to be here and see you become Queen, Elizabeth-I mean Beth" that made me tear up and hug her tighter. She then pulled away and grabbed her bag

"I'll see you at coronation time" and with that she left my room. Grace can't leave, she's family. There has to be something I can do. I paced around my room for a minute and then...it hit me.

"Grace!" I yelled once I was outside her room knocking on it. She opened it and looked at me "What is it? I have to finish by noon" I pushed her aside and walked inside of her room.

"What if I told you that you won't have to leave and you can stay here and keep your job?" I asked her and she just cocked her to the side confused.

"I'm asking you to stay here at the castle or if you want we can get you a place nearby but just don't leave, you're the only piece I have left of my father and if you go I won't have anything left so please just..stay" I offered meaning every word. Grace was family and if she leaves, I don't know and I don't wanna think about it.

"Oh, Beth" she said pulling me into a hug. "How can I leave?" we both chuckled as I hugged her back.

I straightened out my apple red satin strapless gown that was floor length and pulled on my red elbow length gloves. My shoes were black sandals but hey you can't see them anyway. A knock had came across my door as I was looking at myself in the mirror.

"Come in" I answered and the door opened revealing my mother. " You look beautiful, Elizabeth" she said quietly staring at my reflection in the mirror. I nodded at her "Thank you" I then turned to look at her.

She was wearing a grey maxi dress with white pumps and her hair was pulled into a bun as it always was. "I always knew this day would come but now I'm afraid-" she started to say until I cut her off. "Oh don't get all sappy on me now, not after everything that's happened" I wasn't in the mood to listen to her acting like she actually cared.

"Elizabeth, I know my actions haven't been the exact best lately but I wanted to make sure you were taking care of" I scoffed at her words. "The only person you actually cared about was yourself and David, you never cared about me or my opinions" I took a look at my fathers ring and my engagement ring and smiled. "The only people who cared is my father and Liam" I told her and she gasped.

Another knock came and Liam walked in. "Sorry am I interrupting something?" he asked. "Yes" my mother answered glaring at him. "Actually Liam, my mother was just leaving" that made her head snap in my direction. I smirked at her and she just left the room defeated and Liam came in closing the door behind him. I was immediately pulled into his arms for comfort and we both stayed silent for a minute.

"Are you okay?" he asked and I nodded against his chest. "More than ever now that you're here" I leaned up and kissed his lips. He gladly returned it and pulled away. "You look amazing Beth" he said staring at me smiling. I couldn't help but blush and thanked him.

"You don't look so bad yourself" Liam was wearing a black tux with a silver tie. Very handsome I would say. "We need to get going, everyone is waiting as we speak" he told me holding out his arm. Smiling, I gladly took it and he escorted me out of my room where some of the guards had stood waiting. I think today would be marked down in history as I have changed it completely.

Liam had escorted down to the double doors that lead to the grand ball room where I could hear the trumpets sounding off. The doors opened revealing us to the crowd of people as we began to walk forward. I saw Liam's parents and sisters sitting near the front and waved at them along with Harry, Niall, Louis and Zayn. My mother and David were standing by the priest as they were not wearing their crowns anymore when we arrived at the top of the stairs. Liam had kissed my hand and cheek before walking over to the side.

"It is of great honor as we welcome a new generation of royalty to the throne" the priest had spoke. "Her highness, Elizabeth Avani Macia Gardena, daughter of Sebastian Antonio Elijah Gardena and Veronica Francesca Gardena" I smiled as the people applauded.

The priest had a guard bring out the crown and gently took it off of the silk pillow. I was lead over to a well decorated chair that I knew would be mine as Queen. Gladly I stood in front of it and bowed my head as the priest began to speak once again.

"To the people of our great country, I give you her Majesty, Elizabeth Avani Macia Gardena, Queen of Renovia" he then placed the crown upon my head before the crowd cheered and celebrated. I turned to face everyone and smiled as they all bowed and applauded and continued to celebrate.

Liam rejoined me and gave a warming smile. "You finally made it, my Queen, what's first on your agenda?" He asked me and I gave him a returning smile as he took me into his arms. I placed my hands on his chest "I do believe we still have a wedding to plan" "Indeed we do, but for right now, let me do the honor of giving the Queen her first dance" he grabbed my hands and lead me down the staircase joining everyone else.

Yes I can finally say, I've made it Papa, I'm gonna do you proud....
