(still in Beth's POV)

It's been a few weeks of planning and getting ready for the ball that's in a few days. I was growing excited for it for the first time and since I'm planning it the way I want it, I'm growing one step closer to having control of my own life. As for Liam and I, can I just say that I'm even more happier then before? We've made it our routine to see each other at the same time in our special place by the lake since I became his and each day I fall harder and harder for him. There were a couple of times where I had him sleep over in my room and he'll leave in the early morning so we don't get caught. NOTHING HAPPENED. Hehe. Even the servants have noticed my change in emotions and are in better moods than they were with the original planning of the ball. Right now I was in the garden by my father's grave and writing in my journal. With everything going on, I needed somewhere to put my thoughts and feelings. I tell Liam my thoughts but he's not with me until later on in the day so here's my alternative.

"Princess, the Queen and King request you in the ball room" one of the servants called out to me. I closed my journal and stood up smoothing out my navy blue little mistress embellished dress. My hair was curled to perfection down my back and my tiara was straight because today I was meeting my apparently "soon to be husband". Oh the joy. The sound of my silver sandals click clacking across the floor announced my arrival in the ballroom as I saw my mother and David standing there with a guy that looked to be in his early twenties and has black hair with slightly pale skin and wearing a white dress shirt with a tie and black dress pants with matching shoes. "Here she is" my mother said smiling. Play nice I thought to myself as I fake a smile on my face walking up to them. "May I introduce myself, I'm Prince Gabriel and you must be the beautiful Princess Elizabeth that I've heard so much about" the guy said taking my hand and kissing it before looking up at me smiling. "Really? Because I haven't heard a thing about you except the fact that I'm being forced to marry you" I said and I saw glares from David that I grew to ignore.

"Well, maybe you two can get to know each other after Gabriel gets settled in his room" my mother suggested before calling over some servants to take his bags and he followed them upstairs. Once he was out of hearing range I turned towards my mother and David "I don't like him" the words came out blankly. "Oh you don't even know him to not like him" my mother said smiling. "Seriously, this is the best you can do at finding me a husband? This has to be a joke" I scoffed not really liking this situation. "Marriage is not a joke" David chimed in sounding annoyed. Well guess what,t he feelings neutral. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms "I bet Dad would have chosen someone better than this guy" I mumbled. "Well my brother is not here to make that decision so I suggest you get used to it" then he and my mother walked off leaving me to myself. I sighed and began making my way up the stairs to my room.

Once inside, I closed my door and turned to see a white rose and a note laying on my bed. I smiled going over to pick it up and read the note.

Never really thought I would be writing a note to the most beautiful girl in this crazy world of ours, so I'm starting this one to you know I'm thinking about you..love Liam

Suddenly a pair of arms wrapped around my waist and I giggled knowing who it was. I turned around in his grip and met his brown eyes and smile before pulling him into a soft yet long kiss before pulling away. "How long you've been here?" I asked him wrapping my arms around his neck as his rested on my waist. "Not very long, but I just had to see you" he said brushing loose hair out of my face resting his hand on my cheek. I melted in his touch and smiled but soon I had pulled away turning my back to him. "I need to tell you something" I said to him hesitate of what to say. You see, I haven't quite told Liam about the proposal my mother and David gave and it's been on my mind to tell him but how can I? I just can't say 'Hey, I know we are just starting to date but my parents have arranged for me to marry someone else that I don't know' or can I?

I could practically feel his eyes burning through my back. "It's about my mom and David.." I started to say still not facing him. "What about them? Do they know about us?" he asked getting worried. "No, they don't it's just..for weeks or should I say months they have been planning a proposal for me" I explained. There was a silence between the two of us. "What do you mean by proposal?" I sighed and slowly turned to look at him connecting and locking our eyes together to see the confusion in his. Before I could respond, a knock interrupted. "Princess Elizabeth, are you in there?" I heard the voice of the person my parents brought into this castle. Liam's eyes looked at me before he went towards the door and hid behind it. I opened it and saw Gabriel standing there smiling. "I was wondering if you would like to join me in the ballroom to talk?" he asked. I didn't say a word remembering why he wants to talk to me about. "Sorry, I'm not in the mood to talk to you right now" I told him honestly. "But your mother insist we do-" "Well my mother would understand I do not wish to talk to you" and with that I closed the door locking it.

I heard his footsteps go away from the door and looked back at Liam who's face was unreadable. "Who was that?" his voice had some confusion in it. "That was the proposal of my mother and David, Prince Gabriel" I answered. Liam's face dropped at the word prince and I sighed going over to him. "You don't have to worry about him, I only want you" wrapping my arms around his neck. He sighed, "My friend Harry's ex said the same to him before she ran off with a prince and I don't want that to happen-" he started to say but my lips connecting to his cut him off. "It won't happen, no prince is ever going to have me as long as you have my heart Liam Payne" I received a small smile with that and he pulled me into a hug. I loved our hugs. They were always warm and could make me feel better instantly..

Hours past and it was growing dark outside as Liam put on his shoes. "Do you have to go tonight?" I asked sitting up on my bed. He chuckled at me and nodded "Yes, I do but I promise to be back tomorrow okay?" he kissed my cheek and I pulled his lips to mines. Butterflies filled my stomach as our lips danced with each other making it feel right. I didn't like it when he would have to leave but he has to. My body was tangled in my blanket as I watched him leave down my room passage way to the garden. Once he was far enough to be kept unseen, I returned inside my room and through my blanket on my bed.

Another knock went across my door and I went over to unlock it and told the person to come in. "Supper is now ready, your highness" Annabel said before leaving the room. I made sure my hair wasn't wild or my dress was straight before heading out of my room. "Hi" I jumped and turned to see Gabriel standing there leaning against the wall. "What are you following me now?" I turned back around walking away from him. "Why do you hate me so much? Your parents-" "Let's just get something straight here, David is not my father he's my uncle that married my mother after my father past away so anything that comes from either of them is not true and if anything I don't want to marry you" I snapped before walking off again down the stairs.

This is not going to be an easy few days.......
