*Apocalypse Now* (Criss Angel & Klayton Scott Story)

*23*(Klayton's P.O.V.)

Danielle and I were still on the trail, following the wagon tracks from Criss's group's wagon. As we traveled further along the trail, I noticed the tracks were a little newer, we were catching up with them. We were now in what used to be the city of Chicago, and I lost the tracks, once we hit the asphalt road...I knew they were somewhere around the city...for if they would have kept going toward New York, they would have stayed on the dirt trail.

I stepped down from Cochise and began to search for any signs of our group...Danielle was still sitting on his back and looking in every direction...she saw smoke lofting through the air...and called me back to the horse, and told me to look. I turned to the direction she was pointing in. I saw the smoke and jumped back up on Cochise, and headed in that direction...but I told her not to get too excited, for it might not be them...and to stay alert, just in case it was the rebels.

I slowly approached the building and looked around for potential enemies...but as soon as I saw it was an old doctor's building, and kids playing just outside the building with the two wolves...I eased up and told Danielle to hold on, for we were going in at full gallop...Palla and Huttser smelt us way before we got half-way there...and began to howl for us...letting the rest of their family, that we were coming.

Criss and Kc were the first one's out the doors looking in the direction, the wolves were looking in...Billy ran out anxiously behind them, really hoping to see his wife with me...Abby and Ronnie came out next, wondering about their baby girl...Criss pointed me out right when he saw me ride to the top of the hill...and then added that I was coming in head on at full speed!! 

When I saw Kc I didn't even let Cochise come to a stop yet before I jumped off and had her in my arms...hugging and kissing her...and telling her how much I missed her...I grabbed Cochise's reins and calmed him down, so Danielle could slide off, and into her hubby's arms...Abby and Ronnie looked and seen that Christine wasn't with me...I walked up to her, and told her I did everything I could for their baby girl...but she just didn't have enough strength to survive...I gave them both sympathy hugs, while still holding on to my baby girls' hand. 

Kc was trying to get me into the room, but Billy came up and wrapped his arms around me, and thanked me for bringing his wife back to him safely...for him and his daughter...I told him he was welcome, then eagerly followed my sweet baby girl to the room she had saved for when I returned to her...after I made it to the bed holding her close to me, no one got me out for the next several days...I just needed to be close to my girl. Even when Criss tried to ask me to go with him on a supply run, for he missed me too, I actually growled at him...he just chuckled at me and said he would bring me back to Kc as soon as we were done...besides Kc really needed to help in the kitchen...for Abby and Leland were not very good cooks, and the other girls, said they were officially on break from cooking.

Kc kissed me very deeply then told me while smacking my ass, to go with my brother on the run, and she would go in and see if she could fix the cooking problem...but as she passed Criss, she gave him a quick hug and peck on the cheek...Criss for one was really happy to see Kc back to her old self again, now that her Sexy red-headed sly fox was back.

I got out of the bed and under extreme protest, I followed my blood brother out the doors...Mickey and Sully begged to go with us, just to get out of the building and all the nagging ladies, and screeching kids. I just looked at them and said it was music to my ears, after being alone all that time trying to save two members of the family...during the hunt, Criss and I noticed a lot of noise coming from the far side of town...we all went riding to the sound, just to see if they were friend of foe...I noticed right off they were actually the members of the very group we were trying to get to in New York, for I remembered the kind lady that led me to Dimitra.

We all rode up to the group of 30 strong...they tried to scatter but I held up my fighting staff and told them I was Atom 7K...the nice lady remembered me and asked where my lion was...I told her he passed...then I stepped down and asked them why they left their New York sanctuary they had made so well for themselves...the lady showed me that they were all that was left...that a sickness wiped them out, and they were afraid of getting it, so they moved, and then they all added how happy they were to see me...Sully walked up and told me in my ear, that we didn't have the room for this many...I looked at him and then to Criss and said we would build room for them...that this city was full of building supplies...and we could really build a little community if we all worked together.

The new group were very willing to do just that...for they built one in New York, so they knew how to do it...they just needed a leader, someone that would protect them...the nice lady added that they had brought all their supplies with them, and had plenty to spare for any members of our family that needed them. Criss held out his hand and said they were all welcome to join us...then I jumped back on Cochise, and we all headed back to the sanctuary.
