LUCY P.O.V.
I was lying on a huge bed made from a material that I couldn't even name. There were transparent blueish energy-fields for windows around me and the room looked like it was made from the earth itself and wood. It was all so alien to me. The room was quite different than the chill place I first awoke in and it took me only seconds to realise that someone had moved me.
I remembered that the giant alien named Monaggan caught me before I blacked out. He or one of his friends must have carried me here to this strangely peaceful place. I got out of the bed and realised that I was wearing a short dress made out of the black fur of some strange animal. It was either that or walk around naked so I left it on me. There were matching fur boots down beside the bed and I put them on surprised that they actually fit me. Looking through the energy field made windows I saw that there was a jungle of trees and massive fern surrounding this place. For a second I felt like I was Jane in the Tarzan movies."Hello Lucy! May we come in?" asked Ouroka and I realised that those alien creatures have returned to me. I felt my heart beating faster and I made a few steps backwards when that giant Monaggan entered the room yet as soon as he entered there was that smell again. That captivating scent that threatened to knock me off my feet unless I do something about it. The problem was that I had no idea what was I supposed to do.
"Yes, I suppose" I replied trying to keep my cool.
"How are you feeling?" asked the creature I now knew as Vokanu who came in and sat down on the big chair that was next to the oval table beside the window.
Up until now, I haven't given much thought about my well being yet. I was overwhelmed by all the occurrences. However, now that I thought about it I realized that I was feeling pretty good actually. Excited and scared of course but a constant headache was amazingly gone.
"What did you do to me?" I asked them in a surprised tone of voice.
"You had a growth on your brain that was causing you to suffer. We removed the growth and now you're well again."
I looked at them hardly believing what I was hearing.
"You cured my brain tumour?!" I asked astonished.
"Oh, she knows what it was!" the creature called Kindleye said excitedly.
"Well, of course, I knew what was wrong with me I just didn't think anyone would ever be able to cure it. I thought I was going to die in that hibernation capsule."
"Is that what the jager-pod is called where you're from." Ouroka wondered.
"Jager-what? Oh, you mean because of the diamonds? Well, yes. It is also referred as The Stasis Chamber or the TSC."
I could see the aliens exchange strange looks as if I had impressed them in some way. I was impressed too. If what they were saying was true then they've managed to heal me back to health but I still didn't understand where I was and who they were?
"Pardon me, I don't want to be rude but I was wondering what species you belong to? You don't look entirely human yet you do resemble us in some ways. What planet are you from?"
All of the males (I was pretty certain about that) in the room laughed as one.
"Have I said something amusing?" I wondered.
When they were done laughing Vokanu spoke to me saying: "We are from this planet Lucy. The one you call Earth and we call Sowa. You are right, we have much in common. In fact, we shared a common ancestor millions of years ago and later we evolved from ape-creature humans once called a gorilla. Now, Could you please tell me what was the year when you were placed in the TSC?"
I was completely shocked to hear this. If Vokanu was telling me the truth then another species evolved on Earth while I was hibernating but that would take millions of years to happen and I couldn't possibly have been in stasis for that long!
"It was the year 2050 when I entered the HYBP, The Hibernation Program. What year is it now?"
Both Ouroka and Vokanu sadly looked at me.
"By our count, it is the year 6740 A.G.W. yet by yours, it is much, much further down the road, you're" said Ouroka.
I swallowed nervously and then I finally asked the question I was dreading to ask all this time.
"How long have I been in the TSC?"
Ouroka sighed and then with a serious expression on his face he said the words that would change my world forever: "You have been buried underground for millions of years."
I started shaking. What was he saying?
"No!" I said suddenly getting angry for no reason at all. "You're lying! You're all lying! Humans could never have build a capsule to last out that long! That's impossible! You're some kind of aliens who abducted me and now you want to use me for experiments!"
"I assure you that is not the case." said Ouroka in a soothing deep voice trying to come closer.
I was walking backwards from him until I hit the wall, then I looked around the room looking for something I could use as a weapon but there was nothing at all. As if I could ever fight off those giant beasts!
"Just leave me alone! I don't want to talk anymore! If what you're saying is true then my whole family is dead! Everyone I ever knew is gonyour story is true there are no humans alive anymore! Just leave me! PLEASE!"
Tears were rolling down my cheeks as I watched the aliens leave the room one by one. Respecting my wishes. Leaving me alone in my sorrow.
