LUCY'S P.O.V.
Monaggan lead me to a strange looking vehicle. It looked like some kind of animal with wings. It definitely didn't resemble a bird and come to think of it I don't think I've even seen or heard a single bird since I got here.
"It's called a drifter. It is a machine that enables us to hover or fly to distant locations. It is powered by the Sun like most of our technology" he said to me, trying to spark up a conversation in which I absolutely refused to participate in. In fact I was quite determined to use the method of passive resistance to demonstrate to him that I don't intend to be a part of this marriage scheme of his.
I got into the curious looking hovercraft absolutely dreading the things the future in this strange new world might bring when Monaggan spoke to me again in that commanding voice of his: "Stretch out your arm."
"Why?" I asked, still remembering the pain in my palm when he burned it.
"I want to give you the Ink" he replied taking out a strange looking vial from the vehicle's front compartment.
"I don't know what that is," I told him grumpily.
Monaggan smiled and I was forced to admit that he did indeed look very attractive when he smiled. Not that I would ever say a word about that to him, of course.
"The Ink is a device that enables you to understand spoken language of other sentient species. It is a liquid droplet that is inserted underneath the skin of your forearm."
Understanding any spoken language in a world that you know nothing about did sound like a good idea. It could be useful to know what the Sowans are talking about when they're speaking their own language.
"Is the procedure painful?"
Monnagan gave me a provocative glance and with a wolfish grin on his face he said: "No. It's quite pleasant actually. You might even enjoy it."
I didn't know much about flirting but I was pretty sure that that was exactly what Monaggan was doing right now.
I fearfully stretched out my left arm towards him and the provocative look that he was giving me made me feel quite uneasy. He than drank the liquid inside the vial, or so I thought after which he took my arm and pressed his lips on my forearm. It looked like he was kissing my forearm but then a strange hot sensation swept over me. And through the nerves inside my arm I could feel the heat spreading all over my whole body. It wasn't just plain heat. The sensation was very arousing like the one I experienced when Monaggan held me in his arms in the jungle.
"Aaah" a stiffled sigh escaped my lips and I quickly covered my mouth with my other hand. I tried to pull out the arm Monaggan was holding but he wouldn't let me.
"Wait," he said to me in a playful tone of voice. His lips only an inch away from my bare skin. "It needs a few more moments to connect."
The heat was increasing and I could feel an intensive burning sensation in my lady parts. Whatever he did to me it certainly caused a powerful chemical reaction in my body.
"Are you done?" I asked trying hard not to sound too alarmed.
He looked up at me, piercing me with the dark gaze of his mischievous eyes and said: "Do you want me to be?"
My mouth opened feeling very dry. "You're supposed to say yes, stupid!" my brained tried to remind me but instead I first said something quite inarticulate and only when he gave me that: "I know you want me" look did I somehow manage to say: "Yes."
"Yes what?" he asked, still smirking.
"I would like my arm back, please."
He released it instantly and then he looked outside through the energy field that they apparently used as windows on everything.
