LUCY'S P.O.V.
Monaggan gave out a displeasing grunt but still continued to tell me the rest of the story: "The creatures that humans brought with them to Daggora were subjected to artificial enhancement only their project backfired and The Destroyers earned their name by destroying those who created them. Though it would seem that they were no match for the Bionics the Destroyers had access to the Bionics's technology and that made them pose a serious threat to the Dark Race. That is why the Bionics enslaved the Sowans. Before that happened my ancestors struggled to survive in what was left of the African jungle as early humanoids. Our research shows that early Sowans were quite intelligent and had their own culture, language and religion but to win the war Bionics needed soldiers so they used the Sowans giving us formidable weapons and somewhat telepathic abilities. They used our natural nurturing characters and mating bonds to make us even more dependent on our mates and younglings so that we would be even more obedient.
For generations, we fought the Destroyers for them while they were free to explore the rest of the Galaxy. They deserted their cause and the war when their weapon of mass destruction backfired and as a result Ozura and Bodu collided turning the Sowa into a barren radioactive wasteland."
"What? I asked in a shocked tone of voice. "The second moon is their fault? But how?"
Monaggan growled and said: "The Bionics used their explosive weapons to turn Ozura off its original course trying to make it hit Daggora or one of its moons in order to annihilate The Destroyers. They were defeated when Ozura scraped Bodu instead. Those of them who were still alive at space were now faced with a Sowan uprising. With their homeworld destroyed and their technology diminished the Sowans now had a chance for the first time in history to fight for their freedom. We fought and won making the Bionics retreat into deep space. The Sowans then retreated to an abandoned Bionics colony on the second planet from the Sun. "
"Sowans had a colony on Venus?!" I asked rather impressed by this and still outraged by humanity's unforgivable crimes.
"We still do" Monaggan replied. "We call the planet Naami and the Sowans who call themselves Namiaans that live there are quite different from us. It was on Naami that a piece treaty was made with the Destroyers and The Great War was finally ended. Afterwards, when Sowa became habitable again a large group of Sowans returned to their home world and they founded the Sowan society and culture as we know it today. They brought some of the preserved wildlife back with them and the Mother thrived again under their protection and... Lucy, you are crying. Are you hurt?"
"No, " I said as tears were gliding down my cheeks betraying what the rest of my face refused to display.
"I'm alright, please I have to know the rest of what happened."
Monaggan was reluctant to go on.
"Please, Monaggan I have to know the truth...please."
"No" Monaggan refused. "Enough storytelling for one day."
"Please..." I whispered hardly capable of controlling my emotions. "I have to know the rest."
Monagan grunted loudly and tightened his embrace. "There is not much more to say, really Some of the creatures that the Bionics tampered with survived due to our efforts to preserve them and some others found their own ways to strive in the desert-world they had left behind."
"Where did they... the Bionics go?" I asked in a sorrowful tone of voice.
Monaggan's face made a cruel expression upon hearing my question.
"For many years the Dark Race was a plague upon our galaxy. The word Bionics is a curse word in many alien planets that they have exploited. Now they are spread across the Universe and we avoid crossing paths with them whenever we can."
"You mean to say that there are other aliens out there?" I asked surprised to hear this piece of information.
"Was that not a known fact at your time?" Monaggan asked while his fingers again wiped the tears from my face and his other hand was busy stroking the back of my neck which made me feel quite stirring. His scent got more powerful and I had a strong feeling that there were other thoughts occupying his mind besides the history of the human race he was telling me about.
"No. It wasn't"I replied gently moving his hand from my neck. "Please, you're making it hard for me to concentrate." My mood quickly changing from sad to... well... uneasy.
Monaggan looked at me and grinned. "But you like it."
I raised my eyebrows. "And how would you know that?" I asked defiantly.
Monaggan smiled and said: "The more time we spend together it gets easier for me to read your emotions. Especially when you are aroused."
"I am NOT aroused!" I protested.
"That is a lie, " he said flatly, looking at me like he was expecting something.
My cheeks grinned instantly and the fact that I was still sitting in that steaming hot giant's lap didn't help me at all. Since I didn't know how to respond to his statement and there was no way I was going to admit that he was right, I decided to remain silent. Unfortunately, that didn't help me at all.
"You made a deal with me remember?" Monaggan said with a mischievous look on his face. "A story for a kiss."
I swallowed and bit my lip. I never broke a single promise in my life and I wasn't willing to start now so with my heart beating like a hurricane I slowly I leant in to touch his lips with mine. The heat emanating from his mouth made me stop for a second.
"Don't worry?" he said smiling, "The fire only comes out when I want it to. You're quite safe with me."
He said those words as a joke but I knew with every fibre in my body that he meant them and that was exactly why I surrendered to his will and kissed those hot lips feeling a jolt of joy and excitement replace my sorrow as his big arms wrapped themselves around me pulling me close to him. I could never have imagined that Monaggan was such a passionate creature. The things that he could do with his mouth and his tongue were truly out of this world. His hands stroke the back of my neck and, making me loose my lust and desire filled mind. My breathing got deeper and deeper and as if a wild beast got unleashed within me. I threw myself upon him, probably surprising us both with that reaction. His scent got so powerful filling my nostrils and my body with hot burning desire for him. I wanted to be close to him. I wanted him to have me and to hold me. I wanted our bodies to become one and I wanted it all more than I ever wanted anything in my life!
"What's wrong with me?" I mumbled, helpless and confused, as his lips slowly caressed my neck while his naughty fingers where busy elsewhere.
Monaggan laughed and growled at the same time. "Nothing is wrong, Lucy. Everything is exactly as it should be."
The most amazing thing of all was that I actually believed him. Then it hit me. In my entire life I never trusted a single person but now I find myself lost in a place beyond known time with a creature only partly human and I strangely realized that I trust him completely. That I want him entirely and that I know that no matter what adventures we may have together Monaggan will always keep me safe.
