LUCY'S P.O.V.

"Naeran here!" said a voice very much like Monaggan's and when I looked at the giant window - screen and I saw a younger version of Monaggan staring back at me.

"You are the human leaf my father and brothers found in the Namuna Telu?" he asked me and even the way he looked at me reminded me of Monaggan.

"Yes," I replied, unsure whether he would understand me or not. "Are you Monaggan's brother?"

"Yes," he replied curtly and from what I could see he was entering a similar capsule like Monaggan did before he left me.

"I am Naeran and I'm on my way to you Lucy, my brother's mark-tie. Stay in the dome-home. Do not leave the premises. Do you understand?"

For a young Sowan, he sure knew how to boss people around.

"Yes" I replied. Well, what was I supposed to say? "No, I'll go outside and fight the big bad monster in your brother's back yard! Don't worry I've got it all sorted!" Hell no! I knew nothing of vorkhas or warriors except that they were all large, strong and scary. I watched as Monaggan's baby brother suited up into a full body armor much like Monaggan's only his was white and then the screen went blank and I could see outside again. Not that I liked what I saw actually. There was a lizard-like creature staring at me through the energy field window. The sight of the alien predator was so terrifying that my vocal cores just had to find their relief in a bit of screaming. I launched myself to the golden double-bladed spear from Monaggan's wall grabbing it like it was a lifesaver. The creature had dark green scales and it's eyelids had inner eyelids which then again had another set of inner eyelids which was the weirdest thing I had ever seen.

I heard Nearan roar at the beast when he got to Monaggan's home and I was pretty sure that there was no way even a Sowan male could defeat four of those giant things. But he was there in his shiny white armor, ready to die to protect his brother's wife. I mean, that's how he saw me, not that I thought of myself as Monaggan's wife, others did! Anyhow, Naeran was roaring and growling at the giant lizard-like creatures who were about to eat him but he was fast and nimble and quite successful at evading their attacks. Soon enough I saw smoke coming out of his mouth, the only visible part of his body.

Naeran looked much younger than Monaggan but he was already a skilled warrior from my perspective. It took him a bit longer than Monaggan and Ouroka to start breathing fire and when he began to do it I was hoping with all of my heart that the fire would scare the predators back into the Jungle nonetheless whatever these vorkha creatures were their skin was almost impenetrable. Not even fire could pierce their thick scales. I saw Nearan wound one of the vorkha with his spear but only after a terrible amount of effort and raw power. His strength and speed were amazing. He was jumping up and down, constantly moving from place to another, roaring and breathing fire at the vorkha until finally he managed to bring one down with his spear, driving it deep under the creature's ribs straight into it's heart. At least that's where I presumed it's heart should be. I thought that the effort of killing one of the creatures would make him weaker and vulnerable but instead he just roared louder and louder until I had to press my hands over my ears cause that's how loud he got.

Then I smelled his scent. It was powerful and spicy. Different than Monaggan's overpowering scent but attractive nonetheless. It appeared that killing one vorkha made him very enthusiastic and full of energy so he turned to the others doubling his attacks and evading theirs. I breathlessly watched Naeran's extraordinary display of skill when he managed to ignite two more creatures that appeared to be a bit weaker than the first one he'd killed. There was only one more vorkha left. It was the one that I saw staring at me and it looked a lot meaner and tougher than the others. Naeran was trying his best to defeat the beast but nothing he tried worked. His double-bladed spear just couldn't puncture the vorkha's rock-hard scales nor could his flame burn or scare the creature away.
