my most priceless art.

so please, don't call me pretty
before you've called me brilliant
looking like this was not my decision

my face may be a piece of art to you
but it is not my piece of art
i did not paint it

my brush
has drawn better things
like
my compassion
my wit
and my love for words

my character

this is my most priceless artwork
the one i have been painting my whole life
and the one that deserves the most praise

don't get me wrong i'm absolutely BEDAZZLED when people call me pretty and i'm so grateful that i was blessed like this, but i just wanted to write because, you know,

i have a personality too.

everywhere, we tend to compliment our appearance more than our own selves, when our appearance isn't even something we chose to have. ~~ heh, idk. xD thanks for reading guys
