the stars unveil the dark
watch, as the heavens open
my eyes catch the falling comets
and somehow, i'm no longer broken

the cracks within
begin mending themselves
and another me makes itself known
of moonbeams and asteroids and darkness and beauty,
a face that has never been shown

i sit on a throne of the planets aligned
and wear shooting stars on my head
my dress is the sky, breathtaking and dark
my worries and sorrows are dead

no panic can reach me
as i stare at the heights,
so much like my paintings
blue and splattered with white

reality is far away
i do not hear as it calls my name
for though my feet root to the firmest of grounds
my head's in the clouds, all the same.
