Pippa's POV
I wake up in my (sorta) room at around 9:00 am. The jet lag from flying across the world has worn off enough that I am able to sleep until a normal time and not through the entirety of the morning. I assume Lin is already awake as the scent of pancakes and coffee are wafting in from the kitchen. I leave my room and walk down the short hallway, yawning as I do.
"Good morning, Pippa," Lin says as he hands me a mug with my coffee in it. I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, thank him, and go sit down at the table. The room is bright with sunshine that is strong enough to illuminate the room through the thick fabric curtains.
A few seconds later, I hear a tiny voice whisper: "Wait what should I call her, Miss Soo or Pippa?? Cuz you mostly say to call adults by fancy names." (Tryna think like a child even though my friends would say that wouldn't take much effort 😑😂😂)
"Sebby," Lin whispers with a 'really?' tone, "She would give you such a weird look if you called her Miss Soo cuz you guys are friends. Pippa's fine," he looks up at me, "right?"
"Yes. Sebby you can call me whatever you want," I say chuckling at the fact that Lin had to confirm with me.. and also the simplicity of how adorable Sebastian is.
"Ok," he says happily, "good morning, Pippa."
"Good morning, Sebby. How did you boys sleep last night?" Not a moment later Lin's son runs off to find something to do.
"Good," Sebastian says from across the room. Apparently Chuggington picture books are more interesting than conversation with us adults.
"I slept pretty well, actually. And you?"
"Good, good. I mean well... I think... sorry, my grammar isn't as touched up as yours," I say with embarrassment.
"Ha. You have nothing to worry about," he says as he puts his own mug down on the table.
"Sebby let's eat!" He calls as Sebastian comes running. Sebastian sits across from me and 3 plates are placed down with an array of pancakes and fruit on each. Sebastian has his cup of juice and sips it as Lin sits to my right (and Sebastian's left).
Breakfast is so good, I didn't know he would be such a good cook. I guess his parental jobs call for more nutritional meals than just chicken nuggets, though. He cares about Sebastian more than anything and wants him to grow up in a good environment.
"Hey Pippa. So today is Sunday and I have rehearsal for Mary Poppins tomorrow. Usually I bring him to the set and the crew watches him. They are such good people. But I was thinking if you were interested, you could come and sit in at the rehearsal. I'm sure they would be fine if I brought--"
"Your girlfriend?" Sebby pipes up, smiling. Both Lin and I blush and Sebastian laugh'a like crazy; however soon Lin becomes more stern than embarrassed.
"Sebastian Miranda, please don't interrupt people or assume things that you really don't know about, like the fact that Phillipa is my girlfriend, because she is not. By the way how do you even know what that is?"
"This daycare kid Jason told me once when we were playing heads up seven up!" He says, excited to see his surprised father due to his vocabulary.
"Let's just drop it Seb. Please, just don't interrupt," Lin says very eager to change the subject.
"So how are rehearsals going?" I ask, pulling him out of the quick sand that has engulfed us both.
"Pretty good. We've been here for what," lin looks at Sebastian, "4 months?? Give or take a week or two. We have made a lot of progress, but my accent is still so bad. I need to like.. hire someone to teach me."
"Ha. I'm sure it's fine," I say reassuringly, " and if you seriously want someone to teach you, you know jasmine is in love with accents. I'm sure she would love to do it--plus, it would be free."
"Yeah, yeah I guess I could do that. By the way, usually Sebastian and I walk to the park on Sundays for fun and so he can play; you are welcome to join us if you would like."
"Sure! That sounds like so much fun!" By that time, all of us are finished with breakfast and I help Lin clean up the dishes.
"I'm going to go change, I'll be right back," I say as I head off to the bathroom.

Lin's POV
"Hey Sebastian come here, I want to talk to you."
"Am I in trouble? I'm sorry about earlier by the way. I just thought you like her a lot."
"No not really, I just want you to understand why that wasn't very polite. Do you?"
"Yes daddy I understand that I should have let you talk. But you do like her right? I don't really remember mom that much and that's ok I guess. And Pippa is nice so I think you guys should be together."
"Yes I like her. And that would be great. Gosh how are you so smart for a 3 year old" (I know he's not 3 but a 2 year old doesn't talk like that!!! I think a 3 year old does?? I don't spend that much time around little children) I pick him up and realize he is getting so big.
"Daddy, I'm not 3, I'm 3 and a half."
"Yes you are, I'm sorry, that's a very significant difference," I say teasingly as I tickle him. His laughter fills the house with noise and me with pride. 'He is a good boy. I am giving him a good life.' But then I realize again that he doesn't have a mother. This is the one thing that I cannot do for him, though I would give Sebastian the world if the chance arose.
Pippa comes down the hall and sits next to me. I remember the walk.
"Shoot sebby, go get dressed. I will do the same and then we'll go to the park. Maybe we could even get a treat since we have a special guest with us!"
"Okay!!" Sebby runs to his room to find an outfit to wear.
"Be right back," I whisper in pippa's ear causing her to smile. That makes me smile and now we are both just standing there smiling like idiots... and then we both start laughing like idiots. Eventually I run into my room and grab my 'artist' shirt to throw on. (I LOVE that shirt lol)
"Hey Lin," Pippa says, "can I post on Instagram that I'm staying with you?"
"Of course."
"Cool."
We take a picture together (I am making a funny face and am standing behind we her, Pippa is sitting) and she makes the caption "Staying with this hobo in London. It's a reunion! Let's get ice cream!"
"Hobo, Pippa?? HOBO?!" I yell and we both start laughing. I love hearing her laugh. I decide to go for it and I hug her from behind like she used to do during "Best of Wives and Best of Women". Pippa sinks into my arms and puts her hands on mine. She looks back at me and the lighting is super nice, it feels like a movie. We lean in for a kiss but then Sebastian walks out and the mood dies.
"So you guys do like each other!!!!" Sebastian yells and starts jumping up and down, satisfied for he is right.
Pippa and I look at each other and she blushes.
"Yeah Seb we do. Let's drop it..." I say awkwardly.
"Okay yeah! Let's go to the park!!" Easily distracted 4-year-olds (slash 3-year-olds) can be a blessing.

Hey guys, I had a little free time so I decided to write and upload another chapter for you guys. The number of views this story has is totally crazy to me, so thank you for all of the support. However, now I feel more pressure to give you long and decent chapters so it might take a little more time for new updates but I'm tryin'! Thanks!!
