Chapter 7.Piano Keys

*Jacksons Pov*

I stood there for a couple minutes,clapping as fast as my hands could clap.The piece that lunar had just played was absolutely beautiful.

"Lunar!That was amazing,how long did you practice that?!"I almost caught my voice in my throat but had a burst of confidence seeping in.

She shrugged."Two days."My eyes almost bulged right out of the sockets."TWO DAYS?!That is just amazing,I could never pull off that sort of classical piece!The most I could play is twinkle twinkle little star."I joked.Apparently my little comment was funnier then I thought because I even heard a small giggle erupt from lunars jugular.But it quickly seized as she realized the situation."I-I told you I didn't want you to hear me play!!"She snapped,her eyes turning into a death glare.Personally,I was scared shitless due to the fact her eyes were bright red.

"I-I'm sorry!I just so happened to be walking down here to pick up my phone that I left in here yesterday and I saw you.I didn't want to ruin your fun so I kept quiet..But your playing..It was just so beautiful!I couldn't help but listen and I recommend that you should sign up for ba-"I was quickly cut off

"Band?!What do you actually think I'm that antisocial to join a geeky little instrument club!?No.I'd much rather prefer being the girl I was at my old school.I was feared,I wasn't bothered,and I had so much fun causing mischief.Do you really think I came here for a new start?No!I was forced against my will to come here because I was expelled.Nothing is going to make me change!"She grumbled loudly,her voice not the least bit wavering.I stood,shocked at her words.She wasn't at all what I thought she was.I thought Mr.Lenard was just being overdramatic,but no.He was dead on about this girl.I backed up,pressing my hand against the door handle."Very well.Clearly I was mistaken.I didn't realize you were such a troublesome adolescent.I'm sorry for bothering you,and I'll be on my way out once I grab my phone."I slowly slinked over to the table in the corner and pulled a black Samsung off of the tabletop."And also,principal Lenard gave me the dates that you stay after School for our tutoring sessions."

The girl raised an eyebrow."Seriously,not only are yoy my tour guide but my fucking tutor?"she laughed,tossing her head back in a mocking manor.Of course me being the sheepish type that I am,I ignored it and quickly pulled my notepad out and scribbled down the dates along with something else."Here are the dates.See you soon,Lunar."And with that,I quickly made my way out of the room wordlessly.

*Lunars Pov*

This boys a riot.
I thought to myself,watching as he slinked away.After lowering my gaze to the piece of paper on the desk below me,I read the dates and rolled my eyes.It took me a second to realize something else was on the back of the paper.As I looked at the neatly scribbled handwriting,I ready it over and over again.
Here's my number.If you need me I'm always reachable.
Holy shit.This boy is actually as much of a suckup as I thought.After rolling my eyes,I glanced at the clock.Two minutes before school ended.I raced down the hall and towards the door,happy that my backpack had stayed on my back the whole tour today.After traveling back to my house,I checked the garages.

No cars.

Of course,I should have known my parents would be at work.Quickly fumbling with the keys,I walked inside and slammed the door shut and smirked."I'M HOME."I yelled at the top of my lungs,knowing nobody would respond.My cat,Anastasia,Meowed loudly as she erupted from behind the door.After scratching behind her ears for a couple minutes,I pulled out my phone and the number in my back pocket.I slipped Jackson into my contacts as"Nerd Boy"And set down my phone.But of course,that didn't last long.I picked up my phone and shot a text out.

L:Hey nerd boy,It's the chick from school with red eyes.Got your secret note on the back lmao.srry bout being an ass earlier,I just don't like the audience yknow?

A couple minutes later I got a reply from the male.

Nerd boy:Hey hey,No worries :) calm down.It's your first day and I understand sometimes I just pop out of no where.Hope you enjoy the school and I hope you understand your schedule.

L:Seriously,do you tlk about n e thing besides school?No offense lol but you sound nerdier over text.

Nerd boy:Oh HAHA very funny,I'm laughing my khakis off. No but seriously I have no clue how to start a real conversation.

L:Well start by asking what's up lol.

Nerd boy:Well.Wuttith the up brethren.

I couldn't help but mentally and physically facepalm.

L:Sitting on my ass in the kitchen.Wbu?

Nerd boy:Same same.Exept my room,not the kitchen.

L:Wanna sneak over for a bit?I know we just met but boi I'm bored and I have no social life yet.

Nerd boy:U sure I wouldn't ruin your "Reputation"?

L:Oh shut up and get over here.

Ners boy:Okay. Oh I forgot to mention something!

L:Wut??

A second later I heard a knock at the door and went to answer it.Next thing I saw was a familiar skinny figure outside on my porch.
