*Jackson's pov*
Who was he.Who was he to throw her down.Who was he to spit in the eyes of an innocent adolescent.This creature was delicate.She was a wild orcid who rose above a field of dangerous poison ivy plants.She was sand,the waves crashing over her and making her body glisten.She was human,A living,breathing,moving,beautiful human.And I was a witness.A couple minutes after she lay there I snapped back to the harsh reality that I was currently living in and ran up to help her.I pulled her to her knees and held her close.Though I previously remember blowing her mind with my speech I couldn't help but think about the kiss.If...If she didn't mean it then why was there so much effort put into it?I held her close to me and surprisingly,she didn't move away.She just moved into me and laid in my lap.After ten minutes of snuggling on the floor a familiar woman stepped into view and stood over us.
"Hello.I'm Elaine.I'm lunars mother and I can assure you that he's never put his hands on her before."
I was curious to know why she was whispering until I looked down in my lap.Asleep.The girl who slept in my arms was beautiful.The moment I laid eyes on the female I knew we had some sort of magnetic like connection between us.I couldn't tell whether or not she felt the same way.The mother looked down at me.
"What's your name dear boy?"She whispered lowely,trying not to wake lunar."It's Jackson,Ma'am.It's a pleasure to meet you.I just met your daughter at her new education facility.I think she'll enjoy it there."I bit my lip,watching the mothers current upset expression melt into a warm smile."Goodness dear no!The pleasure is all mine.I see lunar fell asleep in your lap,it usually takes her months to get comfortable with someone!!"She whispered with excitement dancing throughout her voice.I couldn't help but smile.If her mother noticed a change in her normal behavior then that means she must feel the same connection I do.I ran my finger through her long dark cherry locks and chuckled."That's cute."I froze and broke my gaze from her mom.She giggled.
"Awe!!Someone has a crush on my daughter!!"I smiled at how wildly excited her mother was.As I was watching,I felt a pair of eyes on me.I looked down to come face to face with a pair of red eyes.I smiled lightly.Her eyes were as soft as her hair.Everything went slow,until her mother cleared her throat loudly.
"Lunar.I'm so sorry.You know how your father gets when he's mad.Usually he's not violent.I think you should go stay somew here for the night until your father becomes sober.I don't care where you go,just as long as you don't come home until after tomorrow after school.And when you do,stay up in your room until I say It's clear."She smiled.
I was absolutely infuriated."So basically you're telling her she has to sleep outside in the freezi ng weather?!It's below 50 degrees!She'll get frost bite and possibly a deadly pneumonia.Look if you're going to kick her out for the night then so be it.But I can't stand to See her getting sick.So I hope you know that she will be staying at my household.I don't mean to sound ignorant but it's for her own health and safety.Lunar I'll be waiting on the front porch.Go gather some clothes for you tomorrow and your school stuff.Goodbye Mrs.Lovegood.It was a pleasure while it lasted."And with that I carefully set lunar down,turning on my heels to leave with her mothers shocked expression.I didn't have the authority to permanently remove lunar from her house but at least she was safe for the night.A couple minutes after shivering and standing there with my knees buckled the porch light flickered off and lunar exited from the door.She had a small backpack slung over her shoulder and an emotionless expression sunk into her face.We kept the walk silent when we stepped over into my yard and I accepted it.I'd stop myself from continuing to pry knowing the girl was already going through severe amounts of stress.After climbing up my porch and stepping inside I checked the time.It was currently 5:30,pm.Holy crap we've been there for three hours and thirty minutes.After explaining to my well understanding Step-dad the current situation I walked her up the stairs and placed in a video fame once we had entered my room and shut the door.We played "Mortal Kombat"together for twenty minutes and after besting me several times,Lunar turned to me.
"Jackson,I want to tell you everything."
I nodded slowly.
And that was how I had met the real,Lunar Lovegood.
