I continue to stare at the large, beaming palace in front of me. They must have a whole village working in there. It's literally that huge. I'm going to be living in there for the next however long I will be a knight for. Clover is going to want to know every single detail about this place too. I can just feel it. As we approach, the gates to the palace are opened.

"Welcome back Gaia," a knight with platinum blond hair greets Gaia. Gaia gives a small hand wave to him as he passes. "The new recruits are with you, I presume."

"Yes, Shion and Rikiya are the new recruits," Gaia states as he points to me and Shion. The knight glances over at the two of us and eyes us up and down. Why do I keep feeling like these guys are eye raping me? So far, except for Shion, all of the knights have looked me up and down, like I'm some art piece in a museum.

"Good morning," I greet the knight with a polite nod. When the knight hears me he stops looking me up and down and glances at me curiously. "I look forward to being a great knight, such as yourself." The knight's eyes widen at this in surprise.

"Kiss-ass," I hear Haku comment as I feel his piercing gaze bear holes into my back. Asshole. I can't believe Clover is already love struck by this jerk. Oh well, maybe he gets better once you get to know him, but he is certainly not making a very good impression. Yet, of course, he also thinks that I'm a boy, so maybe if he knew that I was girl then maybe he would be nicer. Gaia sends Haku a stone cold look at this making Haku scoff and look away.

"Why, good morning to you too Rikiya," the knight greets me back with a smile, after a moment of staring at me, "I admire your seriousness and pursuit to become a knight. Keep that up and you should become a fine knight."

"Thank you sir," I thank him with a smile as I bow my head in respect. He chuckles before me.

"There is no need for formalities. We will be training together and seeing each other much more often now. Please, call me Daichi," the knight, named Daichi, answers with a smile. I give a firm nod at his request.

"Very well Daichi," I reply with a smile, "I look forward to our training together." Daichi nods back as we pass him.

"Lute, Haku, show the new recruits to the stables," Gaia instructs firmly. Haku and Lute nod in response as they gesture for Shion and I to follow after them. We follow after them, but I can feel Daichi's eyes on me as we get further and further away.

"Polite one that one is," Daichi states with a hint of curiousness in his voice.

"Yes, very similar to Lute in a way. I can see them being very close in the future to come," Gaia voices with a nod of agreement, "He also someone managed to tame that horse, which is something a lot of the other knights couldn't seem to do."

"Yes, I noticed that," Daichi retorts as he sighs, "Quite impressive. I hope he will continue to impress us in training and in the future."

"Quite, it would be nice to have another Lute," Gaia says as he clears his throat, "Well, I'd best follow after them to make sure Haku doesn't stir up more trouble."

"Aye, good luck with that one," Daichi calls out after Gaia. Gaia nods as he follows after us. Lute seems to be quit favorable here among the other knights, which makes sense. He seems very kind, hardworking, serious, all the aspects that would make a great knight. If the others look up to him that much and they hope that I will become as great as he is then I will do my best to make that happen. No matter what, I will do my best and I will become the best knight that I can be.

"Here are the stables," Lute states as he gestures to them, "Come on, I'll show you where your stable is. It's right next to mine, so it won't be hard to find." I nod as I follow after him. The stables are big. Probably big enough to fit 10 horses into one. Does a horse really need that much space? I'm not necessarily complaining, but it's just surprising that they would make them that big. I assume it was the princess who asked for the stables to be big. I know for sure that the king wouldn't have the kindness to do such a thing. As I follow after Lute, two stables that sit right next to each other come into view. Those must be it. Lute gets off of his horse and opens one of them. He leads his horse into the stable and takes off the reigns before placing them on the door of the stable. I watch him in awe as I takes a brush and gently combs it through his horse's hair. He looks so noble right now. Lute notices me staring at him and glances up at me. He gives a small chuckle. "You don't have to sit there, you can get off your horse if you want." My eyes slightly widen at this and I look away in embarrassment. Jesus, why can't I stop staring at this guy?
