Her Devotion As A Knight ✔

Chapter 4

(A/N: Don't play the video yet because the beginning really does not go well with the song above.😂😂)

My eyes open slightly at a loud booming sound. Where am I? I look around in confusion to find my self standing inside the palace. What the-? I could have sworn that I was sleeping, in my room, in my bed. I don't even know where I am right now. I'm in a room, a bedroom to be exact, but who's bedroom? I examine my surroundings in wonder. A large rocker sits in the corner in front of the window. Ok, officially confused. I continue to look around the room in confusion. Ok, so, there's a rocker, there's a king size bed, a huge walk-in closet, thousands of gowns and high heels. Wait a minute, is this the queen's room? 

A small whimper brings me out of my thoughts. I glance towards the rocker to see something moving around in it. I slowly approach it and look inside. My eyes widen when I see two, small baby girls in it. Are they twins? One has reddish, black hair with dark brown eyes while the other has light brown hair with emerald, green eyes. Those green eyes seem almost familiar. I'm so confused right now. How did I end up in here? 

"Hana! Wait!" A strong male voice yells. I soon hear the sound of footsteps coming from the hallway. Right after, a female figure comes rushing. It's the queen. Her light brown hair and emerald, green eyes show signs of fear and worry as she rushes towards me and the rocker. She's heading straight for me. What should I do? Should I step aside? Should I let her ask me what I'm doing up here? Unable to decide, I just stand there. The next thing that happens though somewhat shocks me and scares me at the same time. As the queen runs towards me, her body goes right through mine. What the hell?! She went right through me. It's like I'm transparent or a ghost. Wait, am I dead? Shit, did the king find out that I'm a girl and had me killed and now I'm a ghost?

I shrug in confusion as I turn around the watch as the queen picks up the two girls in her arms and cradles them. Soon the king hurries into the room. He rushes towards the queen. In curiosity, I stand in his way and he also goes right through me. He didn't even see me. Oh my god. I'm a ghost! AHHHH! I'm sorry Ken! I'm sorry Clover! I'm sorry mom and dad! I should have listened and not done this! 

"Your majesties, we must hurry and get you two to safety," a maid says in panic as she tries to rush the king and queen along. 

"What about my daughters?!" The queen asks in fear as she glances down at her two now crying babies in her arms.

"Hana, we have to go now!" The king insists as he pulls the queen along. The queen sighs as she holds her babies close to her. As she goes to follow the maid, she is pulled back by someone coming in through the window. She shrieks in panic as she tries to keep hold of her babies. "How dare you come in here! Guards!" 

"No! Please! Don't take my babies!" The queen exclaims with tears forming in her eyes. I glance to see that the person, who came in through the window, is a guy in a mask and a black ninja-like suit. A ninja?! What the fuck?! What are we in the era of samurai or something? I shake my head at this as I go back to watch the scene. I notice that the guy in the mask has a firm hold on something. It's an arm. It's one of the babies arms. "Please! Take me instead! Just don't take my babies!" 

"We don't want you," the guy in the mask responds coldly. With one solid pull, the guy in the mask pulls one of the babies out of the queen's arms. Oh my god! I go to stop him, but my feet are glued in place. What?! Why can't I move all of a sudden?

"No!" The queen yells in protest as she tries to reach out to the stolen baby, but the guy in the mask simply holds the baby close to him and then jumps out of the window. As he does, my feet finally are able to move again and I rush to the window. I glance down to see him land gracefully and perfectly on the ground. I can hear the loud crying of the baby that he stole. Shock spreads through me at this as I turn around to look back at the king and queen. The queen is crying while holding her other baby. "NO! She's gone! He took her!"
