[chapter two]
nervous
---

To say I was nervous for my first case was an understatement. I was a wreck. Sure I had done tons of cases since I was 18, but still. You see, I graduated early and immediately enrolled in the academy.

Anyway, we got started.

"In the past month, a man, in Oberlin Ohio, has been killing 3 women," Garcia begins. I sigh, thinking that this will be an easy go. "Each week. The only thing missing from there hands are wedding rings and any form of ID they had on them."

"Why take the ID's?" JJ asked.

"He doesn't want them found." I reply simply. Not to sound like a bitch, but I thought it was obvious... "I mean, taking the IDs have to mean something, right? There are multiple reasons as to why, but this is just a theory, maybe in the man's work place, he knows them? The women wronged them and the only way he thought to get back at them was by killing them." I conclude.

Everyone in the room looks at me.

"Damn, girl." Morgan comments and I smile. "We got another genuis on our hands."

"Hardly." Rossi jokes. I roll my eyes playfully.

"Wheels up in 20." Hotch announces. I didn't bring a go-bag, seeing as I didn't think we would have a case on the first day.

"David," I walk up to him. "I don't have-"

"I got you covered." He smiles.

"You're my angel in disguise." I laugh and we all head into the cars to the airport.

---

As we walked into the Oberlin Police Department, we were greeted by Sherriff Davis.

"Sherriff Davis, this SSA Hotchner, Morgan, Prentiss, Rossi, Parker, and Dr. Reid."

"Nice to meet you all. I set up the back room for you all, let us know if you need anything." As he says that, a new call comes in.

"Dispatch ; Women found in dumpster, near Club 21."

"Parker and Morgan, go with Davis and check it out." Hotch says and we get into a separate car.

We soon arrived at the scence. Yellow tape was everywhere, flashes of cameras, the whole thing.

"How many clubs in Oberlin?" I ask the cop.

"6. This is the fourth dumpsite."

"And the previous ones where were the other women were found?" I ask.

He nods. I sigh and begin to examine the body. Same MO, strangulation by a wire of some sort.

"Where any women sexually assaulted?" I ask Morgan.
