She was sitting on the couch, practicing control. Her pelvic muscles contracted and she held them in place.  She was in her tenth week of pregnancy and her urge to use the restroom increased. She was doing Kegels. Her uterus was pressuring her bladder and by doing Kegels, she would gain better control. Her pelvic muscles would also be stretched during labor and Kegels helped them maintain strength. Pregnant women were supposed to do Kegels and Eira was just following suit.

Klaus was in the chair next to the couch, watching her. She didn't let him sit next to her and so he was sitting in the chair, staring at her with a slight pleading puppy look. He was also intrigued by what she was doing. She just looked concentrated and she wouldn't speak to him.

Eira felt his gaze and she sighed. She stopped her exercise and she looked at him, "Would you stop staring at me? It's distracting."

Klaus rolled his eyes, "Love, you're the only thing worth staring at in this house. Of course, I'm going to stare."

Eira got up from the couch and Klaus scrambled off the chair. He followed her steps, following her like a lost soul in search of its maker. She was his maker, his light that led him from wandering around in the dark and let him be found.

Eira went into the kitchen and Klaus leaned against the doorway. She dug around in the cabinets, looking for something but she couldn't seem to find it.

"What are you looking for?" Klaus asked.

"I'm craving olives," Eira said, looking confused. She didn't even like olives, but she was craving them. Pregnancy cravings.

Klaus walked into the kitchen, opening the refrigerator and pulled out the jar of green olives. He held it out to her and she looked at him in realization.

"You put it in the refrigerator yesterday, when you opened the jar," Klaus smirked, amused that she forgot so easily.

"Oh," Eira said and took the jar of olives from him. "Well, I don't remember."

That was another side effect of pregnancy. It was called 'pregnancy brain'. The mind was scattered and easily forgetful. Eira had been a scattered mess all week.

Eira set the jar of olives down on the counter and then she looked at him. He was still wearing that amused smile and she put her hands on her hips.

"And don't give me that amused face. That face makes me moody because I know a teasing comment is about to come out of your mouth," Eira huffed.

Klaus's amused smile turned into one of pure adoration, "But you're cute when you're moody. Your little nose scrunches as if the air is distasteful."

Eira's moodiness melted. She was a flaming fire that had just been distinguished. She smiled and her cheeks reddened, a blush appearing at his comment. She was joyful now.

Klaus took a step towards her and he slowly grabbed her hand, entwining his hand with hers. She smiled a little bit wider at holding his hand and she looked up at him.

She reached up and she kissed him on the cheek, a lingering kiss. Klaus closed his eyes at the brief touch of her lips against his skin. He inhaled a breath, inhaling the feeling of her touch.
