Chapter 2: Goddamnit JJ

Jason's POV

I sit in my last period study hall fiddling with the cord on my headphones, anxious for what I'm about to do. What if he like, freaks out? Nah, that wasn't JJ. But he would probably get all uncomfortable and say 'bro' a lot fumbling over his words, which he often did in any awkward situation, adorably I might add... and he would do that little nervous chuckle and flash his blue eyes around the room... "Ugh" I groaned to myself getting sidetracked. My math homework sat in front of me, not a single problem done in nearly an hour. I had my mind on other things. Plus I could always do my homework later tonight right...? Yeah doubt that will happen. I glance at the clock and take note of the time, 2:58. 2 minutes left in class... I felt like I was going to throw up. "Fuck" I say to myself as I hear the dismissal bell ring, starting to pack all my stuff up into my book bag. 'Maybe I shouldn't do it today' I think to myself.......but if I don't do it today, I'll just be miserable for longer and wondering... shit. After packing everything up I walk into the hallway, and expect as usual for JJ to be waiting there for me so we can walk to our practices together. Same as everyday. Only today, he had that goddamn Alexis Harvey practically trying to fuck him in the hallway....( In actuality they were just holding hands, perhaps my view is subjective).. ugh whatever. 

"Heeyy look its that happy couple" I say sarcastically.  

"You know what bro your just bitter because you cant get any, and I can" JJ said, earning a dirty look from Alexis.

"Actually Jason, if you want I have this friend who reaallly likes soccer players, shes hot too and I thi-" Alexis started

"JJ can I talk to you for a second" I said cutting her off. 

"Yeah hold on" He said turning to Alexis and kissing her goodbye, making me almost throw up in my mouth a little bit. "Alright what do you need" he asked

"Well... ok. JJ I've needed to tell you something for a very long time now... and... shit" I said, with  which JJ replied giving a very strange look. I never act this way... and he knew something was up " I love you bro. And I dont mean like... just as friends. Im in love with you JJ" I blurted out, growing more numb as each word left my mouth. I hated showing vulnerability ever in any situation, but JJ just did something to me and I found myself spilling my guts, for the first time ever... saying what I truly felt.

JJ looked thoughtful and almost confused for a moment, furrowing his brow, and then he started to say "Jason... I... I think that I-"

*BEEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEEEP*

 I snap awake immediately as my alarm goes off " god damnit" I complain, but this wasn't the first time I have dreamed about a situation that I was to scared to follow through with in real life, like the previous. Lifting up my phone I check the time, 6:30 am. I look through the notifications on my phone, and one of my texts from a group chat read-

 -Party. tonight, starts at 11 pm. Charles Moser's house. Be there, bring everyone-

Hmm. Charles always throws the craziest parties... and I have been stressed out recently... So I make it up in my mind to go. I already knew JJ would be down, and this thought was confirmed a few minutes later when I receive a text 

" DUDE, we have to go to charles party tonight. Its gunna be sick" he wrote

" you know it man" I reply simply.

" Can I stay at your place after though? If I come home late my parents would be piiiissseedd" he said

"Yeah thats fine" I replied. Plus knowing charles, there is going to be alcohol there... and JJ does not do well with alcohol... "I'll be at your house in an hour. BE. READY. JJ, Im not gunna be late to school again because your primping and spending three hours on your hair"

"Hey, gotta look sexy for the ladies" he replied. I did like when he did his hair though...

About 45 minutes later I grabbed the keys to my latest birthday present, a Mercedes SL65 Black. I love that freaking car. Guess my parents thought if they bought me expensive things it would make up for never being around... and.. they were kinda right. Jumping in and dropping the roof down, I started the car and headed to JJ's house. He lived about 5 minutes away, and once I arrived I texted him " Here". A couple minutes pass... then a few more... then a few more... then about 15 minutes later I get out of the car " Goddamnit JJ" I groan to myself and walk up to his front door and bang on it. No response. So I open the door and walk in. What is JJ doing that is so important we would be late for school? Playing Madden. 

"JJ" I yell.

'' Sorry! Sorry!" he said throwing his headphones off of his head and turning his playstation off. We then both quickly get into my car and look at the time... 8:03. Great. Mrs. Robertson was gunna be pissed.
