"I can't believe I'm in grade 10 now, it's so quick and exciting", I said happily. We had just moved to San Francisco and I had to change school. Fortunately for me, my brothers were already in college so my Dad got an apartment for them back in NY. Which means I was the only one at home.
So, it was the first day of school for me and I was very excited. Already, I had made a few friends here and there during the school's summer lesson. I got to the hallway and saw various inscriptions imprinted on each doors. Luckily for me, the first door I saw read "Grade 10" and I entered the class.
I walked into the class, I mean a class filled with students and a teacher was in the class. I felt so awkward. Like literally, all eyes were on me. Was I that late? I looked around and saw my name imprinted on a desk and I went over to sit on it.
Barely five seconds of sitting down, the teacher called me out and told me to stand in front of the class to introduce myself. Thank goodness I was not the shy type. I introduced myself with ease and much confidence and attracted applause for myself. After the introduction, the teacher introduced herself as Mrs Pia and told me not be intimidated by anyone and all that.
In as much as I was smiling sheepishly, way down, I was yawning. Finally, she told me to return to my seat. Then her lecture continued, Music- my favorite subject. I wondered if the school had any music lab.

"Grrrr", off went the bell for recess. Immediately, with the speed of light, I turned around just to have some chat with my friend. Unfortunately, she was already engaged in a meaningless conversation with God-knows-who. Bored, I stood up and walked towards the window to have a look outside. Then I heard my name "OMG Emily!!". I turned around and saw my newly found friend, Nina. I screamed back and ran to hug her. We just met during summer lesson and we kicked off fast. We found out that we shared the same interest. We tell each other everything, especially about crushes. We chatted for some time before the bell went off for classes to start.
"Ugh, I hate that bell", i muttered under my breath as I grudgingly strolled to my seat. As i was about to sit down, something caught my eyes. Just across the room was a very, extremely, breathtaking, handsome guy laughing and chatting with some other group of guys.
I Literally Stopped Breathing!!
