Chapter 5✌

Emily's POV
After that incident, nothing exciting happened. We didn't even talk again. Such a guy!! Anyways, I focused on my studies, putting Nathan at the back of my mind. My sporting activities also improved. I got selected as the new cheerleader in my team and we cheered the basketballers during their play that week. All too soon, the mid semester break arrived and I got excited to go home.

During the break, around 9:30pm, lying flat on my bed, I got a text message from an unknown caller. Leaving what I was doing, I picked up the phone and read the message.

"Emily" texted the person.

"Hey" I texted back, not knowing who it was.

"How u? " asked the person.

"Do I know u? " I replied back.

"You don't wanna know" texted the person. OK.... What the hell is going on?

"R u a boy or a girl? " I asked, already irritated.

"It's Nathan" replied the person.

OMG! OMG!! OMG!!! I screeched in shock. What was going on? I was practically in shock for 20 seconds.
"Oh.....did u buy a new phone? " I asked, acting casual and cool... total irony.

"Yep" he replied.

"Oh.... and you didn't give me your number? " I asked.

"Because I already had yours " he replied.

Okay, why the hell was he acting so cool and relaxed? I'm practically freaking out here!! But this conversation needs to go on 😉.

"K. So whatcha doin'? " I asked.

5 minutes passed and I still hadn't gotten any reply. 10 minutes..... 20 minutes..... 25 minutes.... and BOOM!!-_-

"Nothing, just getting along with some friends", he replied back. Okay dude, it gave you about 25 minutes to reply a message. Very nice of you 😒.

"K", I replied back. And just when I couldn't take it again, I replied back.
"You're such an idiot".
It didn't even take him a second to reply back. "What?"

"You're so annoying and a standoffish", I replied, clearly amused at my comeback.

"Emily..... don't ever talk to me again in your life. It ends here" he replied back.

"The last time I checked, it ended a long time ago" I retorted back.

"I'm not done with you" was his reply. Uh??

"Meaning?" I replied.

"I'm not impressed at all by what you just said. I don't wanna get mad at you cos I respect you..... alot. But anyway, you want it" he replied.
Respect!!!?? I laughed at the word. Somehow it wasn't the word I was expecting .

"You're so annoying", I replied back which proved to be the end of our chat cos he didn't reply me back.
Signing, I fell back to my bed excited at what just happened. Like he's this cool guy who doesn't quarrel with anyone. He needs some action in his life 😜. But I'm still angry with him. Few days from now, I would be going back to school.
