Chapter 3💝

Two Years Later
Emily's POV
OK, since that very first experience, we had been avoiding each other like no ones business. We didn't even make eye contact. I mean, the embarrassment of that day was still there and to think he never one day came to apologize to me.... What a wimp!!.

Anyways, as the matured girl that I am, I decided to end this cold friendship when I walked up to him during recess. He was at the veranda of our college block (yes we have a veranda) talking with a friend. Immediately I arrived, his friend excused us, leaving the both of us. Honestly I wanted to turn back but that would only make me crazy and i didn't want to blow my cover in front of him.

"Hey. Can I speak with you" I said, faking a cool demeanor.

"Sure" he said, looking at me.

"Do you hate me?", I asked bluntly, already knowing his answer.

"No" he replied, taken aback. I'm sure he was expecting me to apologize. Well hahaha to your sorry ego.

"Are you angry with me?" i asked.

"Nope", he replied, casually.

"Then why do you act like this towards me? Why are you so distant with me?", i asked courageously. Really, talking to your crush isn't entirely easy.

"How am I distant?", he asked. Like he didn't know..#smh#

"Like we don't talk to each other and we've been in the same class for as long as I can remember. We are graduating soon Mr.", i replied.

"Wow, i don't know what to say", he replied. What!!! It took every ounce of my discipline to keep talking.

"Just say something" i replied, irritated.

"What was your question again?", he asked. God!! Why are guys soo annoying??!!

"My question is why do you treat me differently? Like the way you act towards me is so mean", I said with the last patience in me.

Suddenly he became speechless. He started staring at me and I thought I saw something in his eyes but I wasn't sure. A minute passed and he still kept quiet, making me uneasy.

"Say something!! If you want us to keep acting like babies then tell me!! You're stepping on my patience right now", I blurted out. Adrian can be so annoying!!!! "Look, we are matured now and i-- ", i continued before he cut me off.

"I have something to do" became his reply as he left casually, causing me to stand there in awe. What!!!! Just!!!! Happened!!!??? Did he just cut me off!!!!!! There and then, I decided I was never ever going to talk to him again, except monkeys starts flying. So, the "ignoring quest" continued until yesterday.
