Emily's POV
       "Hey standoffish" came from a voice in class. Who the hell was that? School had just resumed and I was sitting on my seat in class when I heard it. Turning back, I blurted out "Who said that? ". All I got from the back was a couple of guys giggling and smirking at me. Facing my notes, I continued to read. Somehow a thought struck me...
Why are they calling me a standoffish?  Does this have anything to do with Nathan?

Turning back, I recognised the smirking boys as Nathan's close paddies... That means he told them what I said. Just great!. At that instant, I became so embarrassed and angry that I started laughing. The class was rowdy so no one took notice or so I thought.

"Hey standoffish!! Why are you laughing? " said Delcro, one of Nathan's friends.

"Why the hell..... Never mind",I said already irritated. Getting up, I packed up l my bag and books ready to storm out of the class when I heard another comeback..

"Mrs standoffish, are you angry? ".

This time I stopped walking in my tracks and turned to Nicho, another of that idiot's friends(Just saying).

"I was about to ignore your comment when I perceived that awful stench coming out from your mouth. I just got to ask you... do you brush with garlic?"

Needless say, I said it out loud so the next thing coming out from the class was "ooohhh.... Blast!!! Who was that for??" With that, I walked out of the class smiling without looking back.

What the hell just happened?  I thought as I walked to the library. Somehow the tears came but I blinked them back. How could he do this to me?  Humiliate me with his friends? At that moment I felt so stupid for even talking or having a crush on him. I hate Nathan so badly. I won't ever talk to him again!!!  He's such an IDIOT!!! 😠😠
