ALEX'S P.O.V.
"ALEX!!"
My eyes shot open as someone jumped on top of me. Two-Bit started to tickle me and I began to laugh uncontrollably. "Two-Bit---Get----Off!" I squealed between laughs.
Soon he rolled off of me and I sat up, my hair messy in my face. "You got any money A?" He cocked an eyebrow.
"Yeah, my mom gave me some. Why?"
"We're going shopping today. Get you some new clothes so you can walk around without being picked up by any soc guys."
I smirked and looked down at my hands. "I don't think any soc guys wanna pick me up."
"Not if we get you some decent looking clothes!" He chuckled, playfully punching me on the arm.
"I have decent looking clothes!"
He sighed and rolled his eyes. "You know what I mean dammit!" He chuckled.
"Keith, I'm not gonna tell you again, watch your language." Aunt Laney stood in the doorway. "I'm going to work. I'm working late, but I want you two back by dinner." Her eyes swooped to Two-Bit. "Keith this is a great opportunity to take Alex out and show her around town." She said as she put in her earrings.
"Yeah I'm gonna."
"Alright. You two have fun!" She called as she walked down the stairs.
Me and Two-Bit remained silent until we heard the front door shut. "Ok! Get up! Get dressed!"
He hopped up and jogged to the door. "Do I get to meet your friends today?" I asked slipping out of my bed slowly.
His facial expression froze and he looked at the wall, like he was thinking. "I dunno if you're ready quite yet. You haven't even seen the town yet!" He yelled as he ran down the hallway to his room.
I clenched my jaw and wondered why he didn't want to introduce me to his friends that he spends so much time with. I bit my lip, then went to get dressed. I felt a little self-conscious while slipping into my dress because Two-Bit said it made me look like a soc. Because of this, I took off my dress and put on a t-shirt and skirt. Besides my pajamas and a pair of jeans, that was the most casual looking clothes I had.
I decided to keep my hair down today, and put on some makeup. My mom taught me how much makeup was appropriate and how much looked trashy, so I lived by what she taught me. I pulled on my new canvas shoes that I bought before I came and walked downstairs. Two-Bit was in the kitchen eating something out of the fridge. "You want an apple or somethin'?" He asked with a full mouth.
"Sure." I sat on the kitchen table casually. I looked around, and right as my eyes went back I Two-Bit's direction, I saw an apple hurdling towards me. I let out a yelp as I caught it. He smiled back at me from the fridge, then stood up straight. I shook my head and bit into the apple. "So where are we going today?" I asked, my voice muffled with apple.
"I don't know, I have a few things to take care of, so I'll drive you into town then come and meet up with you a little later."
I furrowed my eyebrows. "What happened to showing me around town?"
He looked over to me, a guilty look in his eyes. "I just, got a few things to do..."
I bit the inside of my cheek. "You're going to go hang out with your friends, aren't you?"
He smiled at me. "No, I just have to run some errands, then we can spend time with each other and I can show you around." He cracked his knuckles. "I'm real excited to have you here, Alex."
