Hey guys, sorry for the slow update. I've been really busy with school, but I'm trying to set aside more time to write. Remember to comment how you liked the chapter and vote!
ALEX'S P.O.V.
I looked at Dally like he was crazy, and he noticed. "C'mon Alex! I wanna get outta here! Just for the night!" His smile was exciting to me, and my heart sped up, anticipating opportunity and fun.
"Dally!" I hissed. "I can't just get up and leave in the middle of the night! Do you know what Two-Bit would do to me if he found out I went out?"
"He'd scold you and tell you not to do it again." Dally coaxed. "Nothing you can't take."
I sighed. "Do you know what Two-Bit would do it he found out I went out with you?"
"I promise you won't get caught." He leaned against the window and lit a cigarette. "I'll have you back 'fore the sun comes up."
"I-I don't even know you, Dallas."
"Then get to know me." His eyes turned from their normal mysterious, dark look, to an enveloping whirlwind of excitement.
I wanted so bad to say yes, but I knew I just couldn't. "Here, I'll make it easy for you." He opened the window wider as he threw one of his legs out. "I'm gonna wait with my car running for five minutes. If you're not in my passenger seat, I'll go by myself. But if you are... Well, I promise a night you won't forget anytime soon." And with that, he climbed out the window as quickly as he climbed in it.
I sighed heavily and held my head in my hands. Obviously, you can't go. My mind hissed. But it would be cool to go into the city. "You aren't actually thinking about going?" I asked myself aloud. I lifted my head and looked at the open window. I bit my lip and chuckled under my breath. I couldn't believe I was doing this.
I threw the blankets off of me and hopped out of my bed. I slipped on some shorts but kept my pajama shirt. Quickly, I put on a little bit of makeup, knowing I look bad without it and kept my hair how it was. I slipped on my leather jacket and a pair of shoes and walked hesitantly to the window. I was on the second floor and about fifteen, maybe twenty feet up. Just enough to break a leg. I knew I couldn't go out the front door without being caught, so this was the only way.
I looked at the side of the house to find how Dally had gotten up. There was a narrow gutter that lined down the side of the house all the way to the ground. My eyes widened. "Dally must be a freaking ninja," I muttered as I threw one of my legs out onto the window ledge.
I grabbed onto the gutter and grasped it tightly as I swung the rest of my body out of the window. I dangled for a second before I put both of my feet on the sides of the gutter. I closed my eyes and slowly loosened my grip on the gutter. I started to slide down slowly as my hands squeaked against the metal. I peered down to the ground, and when I finally got close enough to the ground, I pushed myself off and hit the ground with a thud.
The night was cool but had a warm breeze that blew against my face, sending my hair over my shoulder. I squinted, my eyes adjusting to the night I smiled slightly and jogged over to his running car that was parked on the side of the street. I opened the passenger side door and slipped in. "Cuttin' it a little close there doll, a couple more seconds and I woulda left without you."
I looked at him with wide, anticipating eyes, my heart starting to pound faster. He smirked at my excited face and shifted the car into drive. "Let's go." He mumbled under his breath, a cool smile still dancing on his lips.
