Paige was swinging through the streets of New York City. She would go up as high as her strands of webbing would let her and then free fall towards the ground to swing up at the last minute. She would even do back flips every so often. Paige saw a pretty tall building. She swung over and stuck to the side of the building. She started to slowly crawl up, but eventually turned around and had her back to the wall of the building.

She sat there for a while. She thought for a second about jumping, and not swinging up at the last moment. Life had been worse since she left Seattle, let's be honest. It's been worse ever since Nick died. She heard screaming all of the sudden. She looked around and then started swinging towards the screaming until she saw the source. There had been a bad wreak on the bridge and and one of the cars was about to tip over the edge. She saw the police and firemen try to get whoever was in the car out, but every attempt made it look like it was going to fall even more. She debated whether or not to help. Paige saw the car eventually fall over and it all went in slow motion.

A woman rushed forward and started screaming about her son. Paige thought to when she lost Nick and made the decision to help. She practically flew forward as fast as she could and grabbed hold of the car as she shot a web up. She heard crying in the car and attached the webline to the car and ripped off the back of the wreaked car and threw it over into the river. She saw a small boy crying in a seat, but the crying turned to screams as he turned to look at her. She quickly took her mask off.

"Look it's okay! I'm just a normal person," Paige tried to convince.

"Are you like Spider-Man?" he choked out.

"Yeah. Yeah I'm like Spider-Man," she said as she pulled her mask back on. "What's your name?"

She started to slowly crawl into the car until she was next to the boy.

"Bryce," he said.

"Okay, Bryce, I'm going to undo the seatbelt okay? On three. One. Two. Three," she unclipped the seatbelt and Bryce fell forward on the back of the front seat. "See? That wasn't bad. Now I'm going to get you out of here."

She picked up the small boy and started to crawl out of the back. The webbing snapped and she shot a web up. Bryce started to scream.

"Look it's okay," she soothed as she started to heave her way up the webbing.

She made it up to the knocked out side of the bridge where the boys mother was waiting.

"Thank God!" she yelled as Paige handed her Bryce. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah," he nodded.

The two darted away to an ambulance. Several police officers ran forward and aimed their guns at her.

"Hands up!" one of them yelled.

Paige obeyed and raised her hands. The captain pushed his way to the front of the officers surrounding her.

"Why life? Why?" she mumbled under her breath.

"Who are you?" the captain asked.

"S-Spider-Girl," she stuttered.

She was shaking now.

"Where did you come from?" he asked.

"I moved here," she answered.

"I'll have to have you fill out paperwork," he stated.

"No thanks, captain," she replied as she started to swing off.

She heard the safeties click off on the guns and heard their hands settle on the trigger. She moved as vastly as she could to get away, while dodging the bullets. She thought she heard their cars start up, but they were still shooting at her. She felt something prick on her arm. Definitely NOT a bullet. She kept going though and noticed the rooftop where all of her stuff was on coming up. She darted in an alley and took the long way to it, but she was positive that she had lost them. She started to feel woozy and remembered what the police officers had shot at her. She looked down at her arm and noticed a small dart in it. She pulled it out and tossed it to the side. Paige almost tripped as she started to feel dizzy.

"Hey, copycat! You need to get your own thing or I'll sue!"

Paige looked around until she saw Spider-Man swinging at her.

"What do you want?"she snapped.

"I want to know why you're here and why you have spider powers like mine," he stated.

"First question: I moved here. Second question: I couldn't even tell you the answer to that one. I've tried to figure it out for years, but I've got nothing," she sighed.

"Well first off, not a big fan of that costume. It's too...dark," he said.

"Why should I care about your opinion?" she asked."I've had this costume ever since I became Spider-Girl."

"Well, if you're practically going to be working with me at least get a costume that's more bright. Speaks more Friendly Neighborhood," he replied.

"Then how about you come up with some ideas. I've been shot with a tranquilizer dart, so I'm not really up to planning out a new costume," she groaned.

"Fine meet me back here tomorrow," he responded.

"Kay," she said wearily.

Once he left, she changed into her normal clothes and started to walk back to Peter and Aunt May's apartment. She walked back into the living room. Aunt May walked over.

"Where did you go?" she asked.

"I just went for a walk and grabbed some stuff," Paige. sighed.

"Alright," Aunt May nodded."Dinner should be ready in a few minutes."

"What are we having?"

"Spaghetti and meatballs."

Paige nodded in reply. The dart had worn off. Guess that healing factor does come in handy sometimes. Only then did she notice that Peter was gone.
