Paige's heart started racing. She immediately reached for her comm with Peter. Goblin snatched her arm before she could press a button. He ripped the comm out of her ear and smashed it. He grabbed her by her right arm. She struggled to get free, but he grabbed her left leg and started pulling. If she wasn't careful, he'd rip her in half. She stopped struggling.
"The Amazing Spider-Woman," he chuckled.
"Finally someone who doesn't say Spider-Man's sidekick," she joked.
"Well you are his sidekick," he smirked.
Paige kept her mouth shut even though she was wanting to scream in argument. He pulled on her two limbs in his grasp.
"Now to spill your blood the minute Spider-Man comes looking for," he laughed.
She struggled against Goblin's grasp. She hoped Peter didn't come, it was just a trap. Paige took a deep breath as everything went in slow motion. She looked around and then used her one leg to kick him in the stomach, causing him to drop her. She quickly shot a web a him, sticking him to the wall. He broke free and threw a razor bat at her. It zoomed by her, but skimmed her skin. She felt a slight trickle of blood down her neck. Green Goblin then threw a pumpkin bomb at her. In return, she used her webs to whip it back at him and exploded in his face.
He retaliated and flew back at her, pinning her against the wall, as his knife on his costume started digging into her shoulders. She felt blood start to flow down her back. She moved one of her arms to web him in the face. He let go of her and tried to claw it off, eventually succeeding. He threw more razor bats at her, that pinned her to the wall. She tried to shoot another web at his face, but he pushed his hand over her web shooter.
"Stupid, ignorant teenagers," he growled. "Just for that, I will kill you......"
He pulled her from the wall, tossed her up in the air, and wickedly smiled as she hit the ground. Black dots danced on her vision.
"...and everyone you know," he finished.
"But first, I'd like my hand at beating the other spider," he stated as he pounded his fist into his other hand.
Paige slowly felt her consciousness slip away.
------------
Peter sat on top of a building that Paige and he always met at. He'd been waiting for ten minutes so far, which it was normally Paige waiting on him. He knew something was up. He lifted his hand up to his comm with her.
"Paige, where are you?" he asked.
He listened, but only heard static.
"Paige?" he asked again.
Again, he was met by silence, but then he heard pained screams of a girl. Paige. He shot up quickly. Peter swung off and looked for anything out of the ordinary or suspicious.
---------------
Peter had been searching for about ten minutes when he saw a warehouse with shattered window. He swung over and peered in. His breathe hitched. He saw Paige lying on the ground, with Green Goblin hovering over her. There were razor bats littering the floor, with pieces of metal and a small aftermath from pumpkin bombs. Peter assumed Paige at first handled it very well, but was soon over powered by Green Goblin. He lifted his fist into the air, to hit Paige. Peter swung in and quickly kicked Goblin off his glider. He smashed the glider against the wall. He looked back to Goblin, but found him gone.
Peter sighed in frustration, but then sprinted to Paige. He checked for a pulse, and fortunately found one. He picked up her limp body, and started for Aunt May's apartment.
-------------
Peter opened the window to his room with his foot and then crawled in. He placed Paige on the top bunk and then threw his mask off. He crawled over to his door and lightly closed it. He turned around to see Ned sitting there.
"Geez, you've got to stop waiting in my room," Peter sighed in relief.
"What were you doing on the top bunk?" Ned asked as Peter pressed the spider and his costume became loose and slid down his body.
He heaved in exhaustion and nervousness. He didn't want to tell Ned about Paige but he might have to. He put on a gray shirt.
"Get off the bed for a second," he sighed.
Ned obeyed. Peter climbed up to the top bunk and grabbed Paige. He brought her down to the bottom bunk.
"Why is she here?" Ned asked. "Isn't her family concerned about her?"
"Its, uh, complicated," Peter sighed.
He pressed the spider part of her costume and it loosened around her. He pulled back the part of her costume around her shoulders, and grabbed a first aid kit. He cleaned up the blood and then bandaged it. He noticed the tear on her neck and lifted her mask above her nose. He cleaned up the blood already there. It was just a graze so it was already healing.
"Peter, is she an Avenger too? Does she know all of those people?" Ned questioned.
"She's sorta an Avenger, and she knows most of them,l Peter answered.
He looked out in the hallway and then grabbed Paige.
"Stay here," Peter ordered.
He quietly took her to her room and placed her on the bed. He ran back to his room.
"Where did you take her?" Ned asked.
"Um, she woke up, and, uh, swung off through the window," Peter lied.
Ned rolled his eyes. Peter glared at him that said I'll tell you later.
