Chapter Nine

With that I sank my teeth into his neck and started enticing all his human blood towards the two puncture holes. I opened my mind, blocking out all the different distractions that could distract me except one – me drinking his blood. I closed my eyes and I still sensed me drinking but then all of a sudden the big ball of white light which had strands of white light bouncing from it like a solar flare started reaching out towards me. I grabbed onto the nearest branch and it brought me closer and faster towards Max’s big ball of swirling mass. Once again they collided and created a big swirling hot mass which turned colours that I didn’t even knew excisted. I was amazed as before and before long me and Max were talking to each other.

“Clarissa can you hear me?” Max’s voice drifted

“Yeahh…” I replied starting to drift off

“Don’t drift off, I need you to stay here with me so I can tell you what you need to do!” He shouted so I would hear

“Oh yeah, sorry!” I replied        

“Right, now the process to change me, once you have drunk me dry of my human blood you need to release your venom by willing it with your mind. You need to use all ounce of your energy you have left. It’s your first time so it will be harder, nothing is easy! But you need to focus on me and how much you are drinking! Get me?” I heard him explain

“Yeah I understand! I use my mind but also keep in touch with you and that I am aware of me still biting you. See you soon.” I replied

“Oh just to warn you, you might feel waves of my pain as it does hurt, the replacing of the blood! Good luck….” He said whilst drifting off into the pool of the whirling mass which was now detaching itself from my mass. It moved away with an astonishing speed.

I focused on what Max had said to me and urged all my mind to concentrate on drinking Max’s human blood. After what seems ages and slowly feeling Max falling into my arms as he was slowly losing his life. I knew it could be anytime soon that he would have no human blood left and would be losing his life quickly but I can’t stop myself from drinking. It tastes so good. I snap myself back into reality, in my mind, and focus my mind on the bite.

I hear a siren in my head warning me that there is no more human blood in his body and I quickly remind myself of what Max had said.

You have to use your mind, will it to happen

I fought against the urge to start drinking his vampire blood knowing that it would eventually kill him. I used all my energy and pushed it towards my mouth. I then started to feel some sort of stinging liquid coming out of my gums and pushing itself into the two bite marks that punctured the vein which was going towards the heart. I started to feel myself pull away from Max’s neck involuntary.

The bond was slowly breaking and I felt the links bonding back together so that I was becoming human again however I still had the vampire blood swimming inside me.

“You did it!” I heard Max whisper into my ear.
