I am sitting in my bed, fully dressed and twirling my ring, when my cell buzzed. I see that it's Paul and I answer it immediately.
"Hey." I say into the speaker.
"Melinda, I am having second thoughts of us as a couple." He mutters. "But as my imprint, I'm willing to be your best friend. But, I was talking to Sam. He is bringing your stuff to the Cullen's rights as I speak. "
A tear strolls down my cheek as I hang up. I slowly take the ring off and lay in on the bed. I begin to sob and I lay back down. Rosalie walks in and gasps when she sees me crying. Her phone rings and she mouths that it's Carlisle. She answers the phone and steps out.
Bejamkn walks in. "What's the matter, lo...."
I interrupt him by kissing him. He seems shocked at first then he wraps his arms around my waist.
"What was that for?" He asks.
"Paul dumped me; I know you like me."
He smiles. "Yes, I do very much."
Rosalie walks in and freezes with a smile at the sigh of us. Benjamin has a hue grin.
"Are you ready for our adventure?" He asks.
I nod. He throws me on his back and he flashes into the woods outside. He sets me on my feet before we walk on. He smirks as e stops in a clearing. He is going to play with his power.
Out of nowhere, a black bear emerges from te trees. Benjamin's red eyes widen in horror as the bear jumps at me. I let out a deathly scream as she bear mauls me.
Rosalie's POV
I hear Melinda scream and I take off towards them. They she is, covered in cuts and blood. Benjamin has horror all over his ace as he gets down beside my friend.
"What happened?" I screech. "I'm calling Carlisle to come get us. She will be okay; I promise you that."
Benjamin stares blanket at Melinda, we breathing is begging to slow. "A black bear came out of nowhere and attacked her."
I stare at her. "That is the exact thing that happened to my Emmett."
I dial Carlisle's number.
"Is there anything wrong, Rose?" Carlisle answer his phone.
"You need to get a helicopter to Denali; Melinda has been mauled by a bear; she is nearly dad, Carlisle." I panic.
I can tell he is tense but he says he will meet us at the mansion. Benjamin holds his breath S he lifts her up. We flash to the house and his members gasp at her.
Carlisle and Jasper soon arrive on helicopter. Jasper freezes at the smell of the temping scent of Melinda's blood. I'm tempted too, brother. We load her and our stuff on the helicopter. I'm driving.
--- Melinda's POV ---
I am getting weaker by the time Carlisle arrived. I am in the helicopter with him as Jasper while Rosalie drives. Jasper is sending a calming emotion through me. I begin to cough and blood splurges out.
"Alright; time to sit up." Jasper mutters as I begin to choke.
Jasper hurriedly sits me up and the blood spills out of my mouth. Carlisle has a worried look as he examines my wounds from the black bear.
"Is Benjamin okay?" I ask weakly.
Carlisle cracks a small smirk. "He is worried to death. Rosalie says his face was filled with horror and guilt because he couldn't get to you fast enough."
I smile weakly and I begin coughing up blood again.
--- Jasper's POV ---
This girl, her blood smells amazing. I dial Alice's number.
"Hello, love." Her perky voice chirps through the phone speaker.
"Clean the office upstairs." Melinda starts choking on blood again, I lift her up. "Melinda was mauled by a war and I'd dying on us father than we want. We are about to land on the roof."
I lift the bloody Melinda in my arms and I step off the helicopter. Emmett takes her from me as my eyes darken in temptation.
"Go hunt; I got her." Emmett tells me.
--/ Melinda's POV /--
I am taken by Emmett and he carries me to the now cleaned office. Alice's face gets paler when she sees all the blood and she leaves bleakly.
"Your blood smells better that Bella's; believe that." Emmett strains. "But, I can control myself. This is what killed me, little bug."
He lays me on the tAble.
"Turn her to her side, she keeps choking on blood." Carlisle demands as he storms in the room wth Esme.
The room is dark suddenly.
--- Carlisle's POV---
Her pulse suddenly drops and I see blood spitting out of her. Her blood is even temping me, and that isn't normal.
"I have to change her; or there will be no more Melinda." I report to the family. "Esme, all the pack and tell them. I want them are wen I do it."
I walk to my locked room and I grab a needle and fill it with Emmett's venom. He wants to change her. He takes the needle and he walks out. Sam uley and Paul Lahote had arrived.
"The others have patrol." Sam says.
Pauls eyes haven't left Melinda's body. I heart her heartbeat stop.
"Emmett, go ahead. She's dead now." I whisper.
Emmett stabs the venom into we neck and he bites the unwounded body parts, which there is hardly any.
"Alice!" I yell.
"Yes?" She skips in.
"Get her dressed; she will wake up soon."
That is how my day ends, worrying about Melinda Black.
