I walk back to Emily's house, depressed. Emily asks what happens.
"She's dead." I gasp. "Mauled by a bear in Denali after I broke up with her. Emmett Cullen is changing her ."
Emily frowns and she hugs me. Quil and Embry pat my back as I sit between them on the couch. I c and believe I let her go to Denali. We are better off not together, especially now that she is about to be one of them....
Sam walks in, looking stressed. He was over there all night.
"The future seeing Cullen says Melinda will wake up tomorrow."
I nod my head and I drop my body against the couch. "I can't patrol tonight."
"I'll do yours." Sam says. "I understand."
I nod and I ask if I can use their shower. Emily says to make myself at home. So, I go to the bathroom and I take a boiling hot shower. I groan out in misery at the thought of Melinda's body; she was dead wen we was there, practical. Once Carlisle pronounced her dead, my body shut down automatically.
I finish my shower and I dress in some black jogging pants. I go into Melinda's old room as I sit in the bed. I lay my and I close my eyes. I let the world of sleep take over.
