My eyes snap open when I hear bones crack. Crap. I throw some clothes on and I run downstairs. Blood is all over the floor and Edward has caught Bella's head. Te blood is making my head spin.
"Go ahead and eat that blood, Mel." Rosalie whispers.
I whimper and I flash to the blood. I eat it and I look at the family, blood around my mouth. I smell Bella's blood and Jasper and Emmett no h have to hold me back. I growl at him as Emmett pins me to the wall.
"It's okay, Melinda." Emmett reassures me. "Just death."
Jasper tosses me a blood bag. "The animal diet isn't working; your eyes have gotten darker."
I start on the bag as if I'm starving. Emmett restrains me from going free Bella. Her heartbeat is gone and a babies cry fills my ear. Bella is dead. I hold my breath and walk to the den.
"I got her; I'm okay, I promise."
He looks at my darker eyes and hesitantly hands me Renesme. I smile at the beauty and I carry her outside. I sit against a tree and u stare at the baby.
"You're beautiful"."
Jacob is watching me intently because he has imprinted on the baby. We hears leaves ruffle and he phases. The pack is right in front of me and the baby. I wave at them an I put my attention back on the baby.
"Jake imprinted." Edward speaks. "They and hurt her. Any imprint can't be harmed."
The wolves huff and they leave. Jacob phases back and he takes the baby from me because of the trust. I frown at that and I sigh. Edward tells Jacob to give Renesme back to me and that i was doing great.
Jacob glares at me as he hands me Renesme. I smile again and she places her hand on my cheek. She shows me the first memories she has of me; me eating the blood and her smiles in the belly. She likes me. I kiss her nose and I hand her to Edward.
"I am going to my room; good night." I pay Jacob's shoulder and kiss the baby's nose.
I flash to my room and I lock myself in. I sit at my desk and I read for the night again.
