N'kaytri POV

The nerve this guy has!

"Are you okay?" Addison asked staying all the way in the back of the car.

"I'm so upset right now", i shot back.

"Then what're you taking it out on me for?" She whined.

"Cause this was your idea!" I pointed accusingly.

"You asked me for my opinion".

"You told me to blame you if anything went wrong!" I argued.

"You know i talk too much sonetimes", she defended her self.

"Sometimes?" I chuckled at her remark.

"Tomato potato", she shrugged.

"Is everything wrong where you come from or is it your brain?" I asked.

"Ask my parents. They brought me here. If anything it's their fault".

"I'd give anything to see your face when Mr.Grumpy showed up", she burst out laughing.

"It's not funny", i frowned throwing a Dorito at her,"and he was sitting there".

"Why does he hate you?" She asked. But before i could answer she came up with a theory.

"I bet you two were secret lovers and you slept with his best friend and told him it was an accident even though it was totally on purpose and he found out so now he hates you", she finished with an accomplished smile.

"Should a never made you watch that movie", i groaned.

"Then what is it?" She asked wearing a  i feel dumb so please enlighten me look  as if she had gone through all the possible answers in the universe. This girl.

"Didn't i tell you he's Cara's boyfriend?"

"I think so", she shrugged.

"Well she must've have told him something about me ", i replied nonchalantly.

"Or he just hates me for some unknown reason".

"Have you even ever held a normal conversation with that guy?"

"Not that i recall", i shrugged,"but i do recall addressing him as an ungrateful asshole".

"Rude", she said eyeing me suspiciously.

"I was just telling the truth", i said in my own defense," somebody needed to tell him cause i wasn't playing the hypocrite".

"Maybe he has issues", she replied.

"Everybody has issues", i pointed out,"this is planet earth. Whether it's the ozone being depleted or Trump winning the election, it's an issue".

"Any ways, what are you doing this weekend?"

"The same thing i do every weekend", i shrugged,"study and watch tv. But i might go to church with my Grandparents Saturday".

"You go to church?" She asked in a high pitched voice.

"What's so shocking about that?" I asked offended.

"You're such a heathen", she seethed.

"And your such a hypocrite. It's not like you ever do. So don't preach to me".

"I go to Church every once in a blue moon".

"There ain't no damn blue moons", i argued.

"Exactly my point", she laughed.

****************************

"Mom this is Addison", i said introducing her to my Mom.

"Nice to meet you" , she smiled and shook her hand.

"Will you be joining us for dinner?" She asked.

"Sure, just let me call my parents," she replied digging for her phone.

"Don't bother i already did", i stopped her.

"And they said yes?" She asked in disbelief.

"Yeah ,why not?" I asked

"My parents never like any of my friends", she said,"what did you do to convince them?".

"Let's just say i laid on the charms", i smiled,"you know how irresistible my sweet little smile can be".

"Let's go meet my siblings", i said pulling her up the stairs.

****************************

"I love your house", Addison said.

"You already said that", i told her," now let's go visit my favourite spot".

"Of All the great rooms in this house your favourite spot is in a tree?" She asked."Now i know there really is something wrong you".

"Oh hush", i laughed.

"Why here?" She asked.

"It reminds me of when my life made sense", i shrugged and averted my gaze.

"Your life still does make sense", she said rubbing my shoulder,"you just don't seem to see it".

"Funny how everyone around me can see it but me huh?"

"What happened to you Kaytri?" Addison whispered throwing an arm around me.

"Dinner's ready", i got up quickly and grabbed her arm running towards the house.

*******_*******_********_****

"So how long have you known Kaytri?" My Mom asked.

"About 2 weeks", she smiled.

"I just have to say", Dathan smiled mischievously at Addison,"my sister hasn't had any friends in a while now so thank you for volunteering to be apart of her awfully weird and boring life. I appreciate it".

" Aren't you just sweet?" I scowled at him.

"Seems I was raised right", he chuckled.

"So what do you want to do with your life Addison?" David asked.

"Guest", i said to David with a chuckle,"not a business project".

"It's just weird",Addison chuckled," i thought only guys got asked those questions".

"Well that ain't never gone happen", my Mom chuckled," so i say go for it David".

"Who says i don't have any guy friends?" I boasted with folding my arms.

"You only have one friend", Jordan scoffed.

"What's your guy friend's name then?," David asked.

The whole table was staring at me waiting for an answer.

"Umm, Gregory", i answered after a long pause.

"Wait ,isn't that your calculator?" David burst out laughing.

"You named your calculator?" Addison asked cracking up.

"It's not funny", i punched her.

"It is", she choked out while wincing from the pain.

"Okay so what if i don't have a guy friend?" I rolles my eyes,"there's nothing wrong with the single life".

"There's something wrong if everyone you know is telling you you're gonna die lonely", Dathan pointed out.

"I won't be lonely at my funeral", i shrugged,"y'all gone be there".

"On the other side of the casket", my Mom pointed out.

"I'm never gonna have a spouse. I'll be fine", i laughed trying to hide the hurt.

Although my life has proven me wrong alot of times.

Never say never. That's something I learned through pain and suffering.

Never say never!
