N'kaytri  POV

The cafeteria is now full and all the kids are in there cliques. Even me. With you know who.

That's right Me myself and i.
And a jar of peanut butter and a spoon.

"Very interesting choice of lunch", a blonde girl giggled plopping down infront of me around the lunch table.

" I eat what i want", i shrugged. I never forget a face and her's doesn't ring any bells.

"You're new here?" I asked but it sounded more like a statement.

"How'd you guess", she smiled genuinely.

"No one sits with the weirdo", i gestured to the almost empty table.

"One weirdo to another", she whispered," i don't care".

"Suit yourself", i shrugged," but this is the end of your life at this school".

"That finished years ago", she told me matter of factly.

"She thinks too much like me", i thought to myself.

And trust me, my mind is the worst place.

" Where you from?", i asked.

"Good ole Texas", she replied in a thick southern accent.

"Bet you lived on a farm", i replied pointing my peanut butter spoon at her.

"How'd you guess?" She smiled.

"She smiles too much! How are her cheeks not tired?" My inner voice continued to blabber.

"I read house on the prairie", i chuckled.

"Who else eats french fries without french fried chicken?" I thought to myself," who else does that but me?"

"Are you vegetarian?" I asked .

"Yeah", she laughed," i had a pet chicken back home.
" Her name was Plucky", she smiled.

" Woah", i replied a little shocked by how honest she was with her eccentricity.

" Now do you still think I'm normal?" She shrugged.

" If it makes you feel any better, i had a pet tree. His name was George", I told her.

" My best friend of three years", i laughed. You don't laugh. It is true. Like Donald Trump true.

The bell signalled the end of lunch time and i got up immediately leaving the girl at the table.

"Rude", my inner voice cursed," say bye".

"But she'll think we're friends".

"Do it now!"

"Kaytri by the way new girl", i turned around and offered a small wave.

"Addison", she smiled," nice to meet you Kaytri".

"Nice to meet you too Addison", i smiled before exiting the cafeteria.

****************************

"Mom have you seen Gregory?" I shout from upstairs. Sometimes i forget that we now live in a mansion and not that little apartment downtown.

I bumped into the David on the way downstairs.

"Have you seen Gregory?" I asked him.

"There's no one here by that name Kaytri", he smiled puzzled.

"Wait is he you're boyfriend?" He teased.

"Never mind ", i sighed patting him on the back.

"Oh I'm so telling your mom", he teased and rushed down the rest of the stairs.

"David no", i rushed after him.
Too late.

"Kaytri has a guy friend", he shouted aloud.

"What!" The whole kitchen shrieked.

" Wacky news people", i rolled my eyes.

"Then whose Gregory?" David asked again.

"Her calculator", Dathan snorted.

"That's messed up", David said shaking his head at me.

"Well He's one of my friends", i defended ," friends help friends and Gregory's been helping me pass math for 2 years now".

"Let's face it big sis, you don't have any friends", Dathan teased.

"Then what do you call Gregory?"

"You do know your friends should actually be capable of having a human conversation?" Dathan remarked.

"Total lie", David objected," I had an imaginary friend once".

" I swear your childhood stories are so depressing", Dathan sighed.

"What was his name?" Kianna asked excitedly.

"Tom", he smiled at her.

"Uggh even his name is lame",Jordan replied,"i wonder what happened to him?"

"I killed him", David answered with a grim face.

"You poor thing", my Mom cooed rubbing his cheek,"I'm so glad i found you".

"I'm glad you found me too", he said kissing her.

"No visuals", i groaned.

"And scrap the audio too", Dathan scrunched up his nose.

"Pg 9 here", Jordan shouted.

"And Innocent eyes", i added pointing at Kianna.

"Even cartoon characters are kissing now a days", Dathan shrugged it off.

"That's wrong", i replied.
"Besides, i don't see any good cartoons now a days. Peppa Pig is crap, Spongebob is too stupid, And Sofia the first is too princessy."  I told them.

"Yeah what happened to the cartoons like Phineas and Ferb, Lilo and stitch and Little Einsteins." Dathan agreed.

"Things and times change", my mom shrugged,"it's not the end of your life".

"It will be if i don't find George", i panicked getting up from the table.

"Wait whose.....?" David began to question.

We all stared at him.

"Never mind", he recanted.

"Do you still think she's normal?" I heard Dathan asking my mom.

"I'm am", i shouted from the stairs.
