Chapter 4; Bitch Slapped

**Katie's POV**

After school had ended I went straight towards my locker. I grabbed my backpack and slammed the locker shut. I started to walk towards the front door when I heard my name being called. I turned around and saw Hayes running towards me. "Hey, you forgot this in last period" we were in basically all classes together. "oh.. Thanks" I don't know what to say. If I could say anything. I just get lost in his eyes. I started to walk towards the door again when he turned me back around with my arm. "are you walking home alone? We can walk together... If you want." "do you even know where I live?" I asked "well even if it's far I think I can take a longer time then usual. I don't think my parents would care" I smiled and looked behind Hayes and saw a really pissed of Chelsea. "um I think it you should just stick to your normal plans" and before Gracie got too close to glared at me, I turned around and barely made out "bye"

**Hayes' POV**

I was running around the school trying to find Katie to give her, her binder from last class. I'm glad we have a lot of classes together. Then I can get to know her more. God I hope this isn't a crush. I can't just break up with the schools most popular [most fake] girl for Katie. I mean, I can already tell Chelsea doesn't like her. But I don't like Chelsea. I want to put a stop to this dumb relationship we're in. All she does is order me around.

Ok so after 15 minutes of going all around the school I just decided to go to our lockers. They are pretty close. Just a few lockers away. And once I went to our lockers I saw her walking towards the school entrance obviously ready to go home. I yelled out her name and she turned around with a swoop. When I caught up to her I barely had any breath left in my system. I handed her binder and told her she forgot it. "thanks" is all she said and started for the door again. I can't just let her walk away! I need to know her more! Walk her home! Become friends! Hopefully more than that. So the only thing I thought was turning her around by the arm. She looked at me in the eyes and it just came out. Sloooooowly. "Are you walking home alone? We can walk together..... if you want" she gave a confused look "do you even know where I live?" "well if it's far I can take a longer time. I don't think my parents would care." shit! Of course they would care!

She gave me the cutest smile I had ever seen in my entire life!!! Then that smile turned into fear all over again. Then she spurted out "I think you should just stick to your normal plans" then she quickly walked away. I was then turned around quickly and was slapped in the face..... by Chelsea.
