Chapter 25; You Have No Idea What Its Like

**Katies POV**

I was sitting on the top bunk in silence for maybe 15 minutes. After a while it got pretty awkward so I pulled out my phone and went through my twitter feed. Oo! I didn't know Demi Lovato went back to brown! Oh wow. I seriously just noticed that was like 4 weeks ago. I must have been KNOCKED OUT! I mean like woah- my thoughts were interrupted by Hayes walking in. I jumped and nearly fell off of the bed. He didn't even acknowledge me and just plopped down on the bottom bunk. I hopped down and turned around to face Hayes. He just layer there and started at his phone. I tried to get his attention but he didn't even move his pupils at all! Like, dude. Are you dead? I just sat down on the floor like a five year old watching him. He finally looked up at me and rolled his eyes. My heart stopped from shock and he looked up again. "What are you looking at?" He spat. "Umm.. What?" "I said WHAT. ARE. YOU. LOOKING. AT?" All of the anger that I have held in just rose to the top of my head and I didn't even know what was happening by then and it just all came out "you know what?!" He looked up at me quickly and glared. " I know you hate me but you could at least show a little sympathy. I mean seriously, you think your life is over because I'm staying here for a while. Well suck it up Hayes because whether you believe it or not my life has been a living hell! You have no idea what it is like for your brother to die and for your mother to leave and to have an abusive father." By that time I had tears in my eyes. "You have NO idea" I choked and kept going "I held the pain in HOPING I could find a friend. And that friend was hopefully you. But I should have known better than to trust the most popular person in middle school!" Hayes just looked at me in shock. "I can't believe I trusted you.." I opened the door and ran out. I needed to be alone just for. A second."
