Chapter 15; He Kissed Me

**Katie's POV**

Our lips met and and just stayed there. All I could think was 'oh my god. Hayes kissed me! I kissed Hayes!' I broke the kiss because I couldn't breathe. I took a deep breathe and smiled at him and he smiled at me. Oh that smile.

**Hayes' POV**

We kissed. Finally. I knew I wanted that since the first second we met but I just didnt ever realize it. She broke the kiss and smiled at me. It was contagious and I smiled back. I looked over Katie's shoulder and saw Gracie staring at us. I stood up and held my hand out. "Come on. Let's go" she grabbed my hand and bounced up "race ya" "nah, my ankle hurts" she said. Then she just sprinted off! "cheater!" we ran all the way back to my house. She won. Maybe because she was so fast or maybe cause she got a head start. We ran inside and up to my room. Nash and my mom stared at us like we were crazy. I slammed the door shut behind me and we both cracked up.

After a while she got up to use the bathroom so I got into more comfortable clothes and laid down on my bed. She walked back in with sadness in her eyes again. I shot up and ran to her.

**Katie's POV**

I had to use the bathroom so I left and used it. I decided to mess with Hayes so I was gonna pretend to cry.
I walked back to his room and he was laying on his bed with new clothes on. I did that sad eye and he shot up an ram to me. "Katie, what's wrong?" I didn't answer and just put my head into my hands because nothing would come out of my stupid eyes. I made crying noises to make it seem better and then I felt arms pull me in. He started to rub my back and was asking me what was a wrong. YES! I got..... one tear. That's good enough right? I looked up into his eyes and he asked me again "I think... I think I should go" I grabbed my bag and just stood there cause Hayes was standing infront of the door. He had the funniest look on his face. So I rushed to the door so he couldn't see me laugh. He grabbed my arm "wait Katie" I was on the verge of laughing my head off. He spun me around and I let it all loose. "what the......" "i..... I'm sor..... Sorry Hayes. That was just so.... Funny." I managed to say in between my fits of laughter. He shot me a look and I felt bad. "awe I'm sorry" I pulled my arms out gesturing him to hug me. He smiled from one ear to the other and did the same thing and walked towards me.
I heard the door open "oh. Us sorry didn't mean to interupt" I turned around and saw Nash. "uh. Dinners ready"
