Surprises and Struggles

Birth

Jimin was glad that he didn't have to walk all the way into the hospital. Although the baby wasn't crowning yet, he still felt as though her tiny head was between his legs due to the pressure, making it extremely uncomfortable to walk. Even walking from the wheelchair to the bed was awful, but they were rushing to get him set up.

The room was relatively quiet aside from Jimin's whimpers and pants between contractions. Yoongi carefully watched the monitor for the signs of Jimin's next contraction. He watched the numbers and lines start to go up and felt the grip of his boyfriend's small hand on his tighten.

"I hate you so much." Jimin cried in pain. "I'm never letting you get me pregnant ever again. Owww..." His other hand held tightly onto the rail on the hospital bed. He was made to keep his legs spread apart so the doctor's could moniter the dilation. Plus, he was afraid he would crush her head if he closed them, it just truly didn't feel comfortable.

"I love you too." He smiled. Unfortunately Jimin was too far into labor to get an epidural, so he kind of just had to suffer through it. The baby was too far down and moving quickly. They assured him it would be over soon, but it still felt like forever.

"Maybe you should get pregnant and see how it feels!" The boy closed his eyes tight as the contraction increased. He screamed in pain before the pain ebbed away. "I'm sorry I told our baby to hurry up and get out of me. I'm s-so scared." He wailed loudly as tears streamed down his face.

"She's going to be okay. I promise. She's strong like we are." He brushed back his lover's dark hair and kissed his sweaty forehead. "She knows what she's doing."

"She's worth the pain though. I can't wait to hold her, Yoongi." He frowned under the oxygen mask.

"It won't be long now. I know you can do this for our baby." The blond smiled.

"I think she's ready to come out!" He groaned through his teeth as he arched back in pain. He could feel her moving lower and lower. Hearing this, the doctor checked him. He was already fully dilated.

"The next contraction you can start pushing, okay?" Doctor Yoora said. She keeps her fingers inside to keep track of how far down the baby is and to help stretch his rim. Jimin sniffles and nods. "Wow, she's got so much hair." She said actually gaining a small laugh from the baby's parents. About a minute later the contraction hit and Jimin pushed hard as his stomach and back tensed tightly. Again and again, with each contraction, resisting the carnal urge to scream as he pushed until her head was finally out about ten minutes later. "Good job, Jimin, you're a natural." Her voice was nice, but not as encouraging as the words that Yoongi was saying after each hard push. "Now we have to get past her shoulders. Deep breath and push!" He inhaled and pushed down into the pressure.

There were so many emotions going on as Jimin struggled to bring their daughter into the world, no one could bring themselves to say anything about how much Jimin was bleeding a lot more than he should have. But they couldn't do anything until the baby was out. And soon...

She was.

But there was no cry. Jimin began to freak out. The heart monitor began beeping louder.

"Why isn't my baby crying? She should be crying. Why isn't she crying? My baby!" He sobbed, looking around at each nurse. The room felt as if it swayed side to side. Things were out of focus. He was really cold despite being covered in sweat and a blanket.

"Bring me some more lap pads, I need to stop this bleeding. Hurry!" The doctor still between Jimin's legs shouted. The boy looked at Yoongi in fear.

"Yoongi!" He cried, he was getting dizzy and weak, eye lids becoming heavier by the second. Yoongi only gave him a small smile. "What's going on?"

"You did great." He kissed his head.

"I wanna see her...let me...see......my......baby......" The last thing he saw was Yoongi's sad, yet smiling face before his world went black.

"You did well, my beautiful Park Jimin."
